  • MIN Small Forward #33
Leonard Miller led Minnesota with 21 points (9-of-17 FGs), 11 rebounds, five assists, five steals, one block and one triple in a 93-83 win over the Rockets on Thursday.
Miller’s first two games of this summer were a struggle, but after finishing with a 22/13 double-double in their last game, Miller provided an encore with another 20-point double-double in this one. He even tossed in a five-steal effort to truly dominate the box score. Miller is still only 20 years old and his upside is limitless. He barely saw the floor as a rookie, but he will battle to see more minutes in year two. However, at this point, he is just a dynasty stash that has tremendous upside.
  • MIN Small Forward #33
Leonard Miller (illness) is available for Thursday’s game against the Bucks.
Leonard’s availability will not impact fantasy basketball, as he isn’t in the Timberwolves rotation on most nights. Leave him on the waiver wire.
  • MIN Point Guard #6
Jordan McLaughlin (right hip pointer) and Leonard Miller (illness) are questionable to play against the Bucks on Thursday.
Miller has played sparingly this season, while McLaughlin has been a solid depth piece behind Mike Conley. If McLaughlin is out, Nickeil Alexander-Walker would likely fill out a few extra minutes off the bench.
  • MIN Small Forward #33
Leonard Miller played 27 minutes in Tuesday’s win over Maccabi Ra’Anana, scoring 22 points (10-of-14 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs) with 15 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer.
With the Timberwolves playing without their entire starting five and multiple bench players, Miller had every opportunity to show what he could do. The rookie was outstanding off the bench, recording a double-double while shooting over 70% from the field. While he’s unlikely to get the minutes needed to be of value in single-season leagues, Miller should be drafted in those of the dynasty variety.
  • MIN Shooting Guard #33
Leonard Miller logged 20 minutes in Saturday’s 109-92 loss to Charlotte, accumulating 13 points (4-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one 3-pointer.
While his Summer League experience didn’t end on a positive note, Miller had his moments in Las Vegas. He put up 20 points in Monday’s loss to the Jazz, a few days after accounting for 16 points and 11 rebounds with a full line in a win over New Orleans. There’s a lot to like about the 6-foot-10 lefty, but he’ll need time to develop. The good news is that Minnesota can afford to exercise patience, as they’ve got good depth on the wings. Josh Minott also scored 13 points on Saturday while also accounting for four rebounds and two blocked shots in 24 minutes.
  • MIN Shooting Guard #33
Leonard Miller recorded a line of 20 points (7-of-15 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes in Monday’s 108-96 loss to the Jazz.
Miller cooled off considerably after halftime but still managed to produce a quality overall stat line. The Timberwolves already have Jaden McDaniels, but Miller’s size and athleticism stand to get him rotation minutes coming off the bench. He isn’t necessarily a rookie that standard league managers should look to draft right away, but Miller is a talent who stands to offer late-round value by the end of the season. At a minimum, he’s worth having in dynasty leagues.
  • MIN Shooting Guard #33
Leonard Miller posted a solid line on Friday with 16 points (7-for-11 FGs), 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in a 102-88 win over New Orleans.
Miller slipped to the second round, and Minnesota may have gotten quite the steal. He’s a talented, tall wing player that shined in his Summer League debut, and he has so much upside for fantasy basketball. Minnesota has a win-now team, so Miller may struggle to get on the court as rookie, but he’s certainly worth stashing in dynasty formats.
