Cal’s Leon Powe has signed with an agent, meaning he’ll stay in the NBA Draft.
He’s projected to go late in the first round, or possibly the early second round.

Leon Powe “remains a possibility” to be signed by the Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls were in the Joel Przybilla sweepstakes, but after he decided to sign with Portland, Chicago is back in the market for another big man. The Bulls have an open roster spot with just 14 players under contract.

The NBA players named in the lawsuit vs. the NBA in California’s Northern District have filed a “notice of voluntary dismissal of complaint without prejudice.”
It’s possible that the lawsuit was dismissed because the players couldn’t get the court date moved up from its scheduled date of February 29. Along with Anthony, Kevin Durant, Leon Powe, Kawhi Leonard and Chauncey Billups were named as plaintiffs in the case. There is also some belief that the complaint could be re-filed, but for now, the complaint will remain shelved.

Leon Powe will play for the Bulls in summer league.
Powe played in Puerto Rico last season and the Bulls were rumored to have interest, so they’ll get an extended look at him in summer league. With the possibility that the team will lose Omer Asik as a restricted free agent, bringing in Powe for a look makes sense.

Cavs exercised their team option on F Leon Powe.
The Cavs are, in fact, doing other business besides praying LeBron stays. Powe’s year was marred by knee problems and ended up averaging just 11 minutes a night in 20 appearances. He’ll earn about $915K next season.

Leon Powe missed Wednesday’s game after his child was born on Tuesday.
You probably didn’t even notice he was gone.

Kevin Garnett is not going to play at all this week due to his abdominal strain, according to coach Doc Rivers, who said that it is “out of the question”.
Garnett will miss games on Tuesday and Wednesday, and might not even travel with the team to Minnesota on Friday. “That’s a special situation,” Rivers said. “If he’s not going to play, I don’t know if you bring him or not.” Leon Powe could actually be a good play in very deep leagues this week.
