LeBron James shot 13-of-24 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Saturday’s 103-99 win over Sacramento, scoring a game-high 32 points with seven rebounds, six assists, four steals, and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.
After putting up limited scoring numbers in his first two games back, LeBron was outstanding on Saturday. He shot over 50% from the field, leading the Lakers in points, assists, and steals. The 3-point shooting (1-of-8) remains problematic, but fantasy managers are likely fine punting that category if LeBron’s overall production is as good as it was on Saturday. The Lakers play three games during Week 9, beginning with the Pistons on Monday.

LeBron James (left foot injury management) is available for Saturday’s game against the Kings.
No surprise here as James was listed as questionable Friday before being upgraded to probable Saturday afternoon. The 39-year-old small forward will continue to play through a foot injury. LeBron had a 19/6/7 line against the Kings on Thursday and figures have a sizable workload against Sacramento again Saturday.

LeBron James (left foot injury management) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday’s matchup with Sacramento.
LeBron was initially listed as questionable, but now he has been bumped up and should suit up in this game. He turned in a 19/6/7 line against the Kings on Thursday and should continue to be productive in their second straight matchup against them.

LeBron James (left foot injury management) and Anthony Davis (left elbow contusion) are questionable for Saturday’s game against the Kings.
James and Davis routinely appear on the Lakers’ injury report, but the former did miss two games last week. Dalton Knecht and Gabe Vincent replaced James in the lineup for those games, with the latter being the more likely choice if needed on Saturday. As for Davis, a potential absence would push Christian Koloko up on the depth chart.

LeBron James accumulated 19 points (8-of-21 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, seven assists, one block, and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes in Thursday’s win over Sacramento.
James didn’t have his best night shooting the basketball, but he did move to the top of another list on Thursday. The Lakers forward is now the all-time leader in minutes played, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Along with the career points mark, LeBron holds records that will require a Herculean effort for someone to break in the future. He’ll add to those numbers on Saturday when the Lakers face the Kings again.

LeBron James (left foot injury management) and Anthony Davis (left plantar fasciitis) are available for Thursday’s game against the Kings.
James and Davis are officially available for Thursday’s game, with the former initially being listed as questionable. They will occupy their usual places in the starting lineup with no restrictions.
  • LAL Small Forward #23
LeBron James (left foot injury management) is expected to play in Thursday’s game against the Kings.
Initially questionable for Thursday’s contest, James is trending toward being available. Gabe Vincent would remain in a reserve role, removing most of his value as a potential fantasy streamer.

LeBron James (left foot injury management) is questionable for Thursday’s matchup with the Kings.
James missed two in a row before returning to face Memphis on Sunday. If he’s unavailable for the third time in four games, the committee of Gabe Vincent, Max Christie and D’Angelo Russell could absorb his minutes.
Have to 'ride out' LeBron this year in fantasy
Dan Titus, Raphielle Johnson and Noah Rubin discuss LeBron James not living up to his fantasy draft pedigree and how his lack of trade value forces managers to 'ride out' the year.

LeBron James played 34 minutes in Sunday’s 116-110 win over Memphis, scoring 18 points (7-of-17 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs) with eight rebounds, eight assists, one steal, two blocks, and three 3-pointers.
James was back in the Lakers’ lineup after a two-game absence, getting nine days off to aid in the recovery of his left foot. He looked sharp to begin Sunday’s game and finished with a complete stat line. However, James shot 4-of-11 from two, well below his 2-point percentage (56.0%) for the season. The upcoming schedule will give LeBron more time to rest, as the Lakers won’t play again until Thursday in Sacramento.

LeBron James (left foot injury management) is available for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.
James is back after missing Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves, giving the Lakers a welcome boost. The hope is that the time off has helped LeBron with his foot issue and general fatigue. It had become clear that the Lakers needed to get their 39-year-old star some rest. Gabe Vincent is the player most likely headed to the bench with LeBron in the lineup.
