NBA insider Marc Stein reports Larry Nance Jr. has agreed to a deal with the Cavaliers.
After an injury-riddled season with the Hawks in which he played 24 games, Nance is headed back to Cleveland for his second stint with the franchise. Last season, the veteran forward/center averaged 8.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals in 19.3 minutes per game. Nance also showed the ability to step away from the basket, shooting 44.7 percent from three on 3.2 attempts per contest. With Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen’s roles unchanged, Nance will provide added frontcourt depth off the bench. He is not a player worth selecting in fantasy drafts, but there may be the occasional spot where he’ll have streaming value.
  • ATL Power Forward #22
Larry Nance (knee) will be re-evaluated at the end of the regular season.
The Hawks announced Wednesday that Nance continues progressing in his recovery from a right medial femoral condyle fracture. However, the next update will not be provided until the regular season concludes on April 13. Nance’s absence has freed up minutes for Mouhamed Gueye and Georges Niang. While the former has been in the starting lineup, the latter offers a higher fantasy floor and ceiling.

The Hawks announced Wednesday that Larry Nance Jr. (knee) will be re-evaluated in six weeks.
Nance injured his right knee during Monday’s win over Orlando. On Wednesday, the Hawks announced that he had been diagnosed with a non-displaced right medial femoral condyle fracture, and that he will be re-evaluated around March 26. Mouhamed Gueye and Georges Niang will play additional minutes moving forward.
  • ATL Point Guard #27
Vit Krejci (back) and Larry Nance Jr. (knee) will miss Wednesday’s matchup with the Knicks.
Both players left Monday’s matchup with the Magic early with their respective injuries, and both will miss at least one game. Players like Mouhamed Gueye, Georges Niang and Caris LeVert could pick up the slack for Krejci and Nance Jr.
  • ATL Power Forward #22
Larry Nance Jr. (knee) will not return to Monday’s game against the Magic.
Nance injured his right knee after a foul from Franz Wagner and immediately asked for a sub to come out of the game. He was helped to the locker room by teammates, which isn’t a good sign. He’ll be out for the rest of Monday’s game, but it’s unclear how much time he may or may not miss after this. Mouhamed Gueye should fill out the backup center minutes with Clint Capela still inactive.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela is listed as inactive against the Magic on Monday.
Though Capela wasn’t listed on the injury report, he is on the sidelines in street clothes and isn’t on the active roster. It’s unclear when, or if, he will be back with the team this season. Larry Nance Jr. will continue to fill out the backup center minutes.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela is out for Saturday’s game against the Wizards.
Capela found himself off Saturday’s injury reports following a six-game absence due to back spasms and personal reasons. About 20 minutes before tip-off Saturday, it was reported that the 30-year-old center is inactive for the game against the Wizards, though the exact reason is unknown. Larry Nance Jr. will likely continue to start for Atlanta and will be worth streaming in Capela’s absence.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (back) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Due to back spasms, Capela will miss a fifth straight game on Wednesday. Onyeka Okongwu moved into the starting lineup before the veteran center’s injury, so there won’t be an impact in that regard. However, Capela’s absence means more playing time for Larry Nance Jr. off the bench.
  • ATL Small Forward #0
Dominick Barlow shot 5-of-9 from the field and 0-of-1 from the foul line in Saturday’s loss to the Pacers, scoring 10 points with three rebounds and two blocked shots.
Barlow shot the ball well and blocked a few shots on Saturday, but the playing time wasn’t enough to convince most fantasy managers that he should be added. Larry Nance Jr. (4/5/1) wasn’t as productive in his time on the floor, but he did play 19 minutes off the bench. There’s little need to consider rostering either for Week 15, even if Clint Capela remains out due to injury. The Hawks play four games, beginning with the Pistons on Monday.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (back) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against Houston.
This announcement came after tipoff, which is frustrating for fantasy managers. With Capela dealing with back spasms, Larry Nance Jr. should fill out the backup center minutes behind Onyeka Okongwu.
