Nets waived Kendall Brown on Tuesday.
Brown signed a two-way deal with Brooklyn last Tuesday, and he didn’t make an appearance for the pro club during his tenure with the team.

Nets signed Kendall Brown to a two-way contract.
Brown will fill the open two-way spot that Brooklyn had after they converted Tyrese Martin to a standard deal. The former second-round pick will likely spend more time in the G-League, though he could have some “silly season” value if the Nets want to improve their lottery odds.
  • IND Small Forward #10
The Pacers have converted Kendall Brown’s two-way deal into a standard three-year contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Brown has appeared in just 12 games for Indiana since being selected 48th in the 2022 NBA Draft, averaging 1.6 points in 5.6 minutes. He’s not expected to see expanded minutes after agreeing to this new deal.

Kendall Brown (illness) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Spurs.
Brown has not been in the rotation when healthy, so his status does not impact fantasy basketball.
  • IND Point Guard
Isaiah Wong played 22 minutes in Sunday’s 100-85 loss to the Pistons, accumulating 24 points (6-of-13 FGs, 7-of-11 FTs), three assists, and five 3-pointers.
Selected with the 55th overall pick in last month’s draft, Wong will enter next season on a two-way contract. Scoring-wise, he saved his best for last in Las Vegas, making five of his seven attempts from beyond the arc. In the four games prior, Wong shot 23.1% from deep on 3.3 attempts per appearance. Wong’s likely to get the majority of his minutes with the Pacers’ G League affiliate next season. That could also be the case for 2022 second-round pick Kendall Brown, who was most impactful as a defender (1.3 steals, 2.0 blocks per in the four games prior to Sunday) in Las Vegas. He finished Sunday’s loss with a line of two points and three rebounds in 14 minutes, with there not being much need for the Pacers to push him in the second half.

Kendall Brown has been signed to a two-way contract.
The 48th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Brown will have to wait for his chance to earn a rotation spot. With the Pacers likely to unload some veterans, it’s very likely that Brown will get his chance at some point in the second half of his rookie season.

The Pacers traded for the 48th pick to select Baylor’s Kendall Brown.
A standout during his freshman season at Baylor, Kendall Brown was a joy to watch for his high-flying ability around the rim. He’ll make a living for his interior scoring, but his defensive awareness will need some work and he’s not a very polished shooter – he hit 34% from beyond the arc, but it was on very low volume. He’s a bit of a project and likely won’t contribute much as a rookie, but maybe that will change if the Pacers unload some veterans.
