Bruce Brown (right knee surgery) and Kelly Olynyk (back stiffness) will remain sidelined for Friday’s game against the Lakers.
Both veterans will miss another game, and it is unclear when they will be back in the mix. Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji, Chris Boucher and Jonathan Mogbo should all continue to see extra minutes, with Gradey and Mogbo starting.
  • TOR Small Forward #11
Bruce Brown (right knee surgery) and Kelly Olynyk (back stiffness) will miss Wednesday’s matchup with Charlotte.
Brown and Olynyk have yet to play in 2024-25, and there’s no timeline on when they might make their debuts. Until they’re available, Chris Boucher and Gradey Dick should see additional minutes.
  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk (back stiffness) and Bruce Brown (right knee surgery) are out for Monday’s game against the Nuggets.
Olynyk and Brown will miss another game, limiting Darko Rajakovic’s bench options. None are exceptionally reliable streaming options, with Chris Boucher offering the highest upside. However, his inconsistency makes Boucher a risky play on an 11-game night.
  • TOR Small Forward #11
Bruce Brown (right knee surgery) and Kelly Olynyk (back stiffness) have been ruled out for Friday’s game against Philadelphia.
Brown and Olynyk remain sidelined for another game, leaving the Raptors light on numbers within their bench rotation. Of the two, the latter offers a higher fantasy ceiling when healthy despite backing up Jakob Poeltl. Chris Boucher has burned fantasy managers numerous times, but Toronto’s many injuries make him worth a look in deep leagues.
  • TOR Small Forward #11
Raptors beat writer Josh Lewenberg reports that Bruce Brown (knee) is out, and Kelly Olynyk (back) and RJ Barrett (shoulder) are doubtful for Wednesday’s matchup with Cleveland.
Brown and Olynyk are joined by Ja’Kobe Walter (shoulder) and RJ Barrett (shoulder) on the injury report for the season-opener. Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji and Davion Mitchell are among the players who could see the biggest uptick in playing time while the aforementioned players deal with their respective injuries.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #5
Immanuel Quickley (sprained right thumb) and Kelly Olynyk (lower back stiffness) will sit out Sunday’s exhibition against the Celtics.
Quickley’s absence is more notable within fantasy basketball circles. The former Knicks guard has top-50 fantasy potential but has yet to play during the preseason. Davion Mitchell has been starting at the point in Quickley’s absence but is not worth rolling the dice on in drafts. As for Olynyk, he’ll have late-round value, primarily if the Raptors do not compete for a postseason berth.
  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk finished with eight points (3-of-7 FGs), 11 rebounds, and six assists in the Raptors’ matchup against the Heat on Friday.
Olynyk did a little bit of everything for the struggling Raptors. He should continue to thrive while Toronto has a limited number of available bigs to play.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett (rest) and Kelly Olynyk (rest) are not on the injury report for Friday’s game against the Heat.
Barrett and Olynyk are available after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Nets, which should drop Ochai Agbaji (or Garrett Temple) and Malik Williams to the bench. Williams is close to a sure bet to come off the bench, while the Raptors could also have Gary Trent Jr. back in the lineup. Agbaji and Temple would come off the bench in that scenario.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett and Kelly Olynyk will miss Wednesday’s matchup with Brooklyn due to rest, and Immanuel Quickley (rest) will return following Tuesday’s absence.
Barrett and Olynyk will miss the second half of Toronto’s back-to-back, while Gradey Dick (groin), Gary Trent Jr. (back) and Bruce Brown (knee) will all get questionable tags. Quickley should enjoy a monster workload, while Javon Freeman-Liberty, Malik Williams and Jordan Nwora should be in line for expanded roles.
  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk tallied 21 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, a block and two three-pointers across 35 minutes in Sunday’s win over Washington.
Olynyk provided his third 20-point game of the season, and he finished the game as one of four Raptors’ starters to reach this scoring milestone. Big Kelly O came into this one with averages of 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks across his last six, and he kept up the all-around play in Sunday’s victory. His skill set means he’s capable of stuffing the stat sheet each and every night, and fantasy managers playing for the final week of the season should deploy him in lineups with confidence.
