Keldon Johnson logged 30 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, finishing with 19 points (7-of-12 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, three steals and three three-pointers.
Rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Johnson has provided respectable fantasy value since the All-Star break. He has been a 10th-round player in nine-cat formats since the break, averaging 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.6 three-pointers per game. While Johnson doesn’t possess the upside of teammate Stephon Castle, injuries to other players have made him worthy of a look in 12-team leagues. And the Spurs have a good upcoming schedule, as they’ll play 12 games over weeks 20 through 22.

Jeremy Sochan (calf) is questionable to play against the Mavericks on Wednesday.
Sochan missed the second leg of San Antonio’s back-to-back when they played Dallas on Monday, but there is a chance that he is back for the rematch. Keldon Johnson scored 28 points off the bench with Sochan out but will likely take a production hit if Sochan returns.

Keldon Johnson provided a boost off the bench with 28 points (10-of-16 FGs), five rebounds, one steal and four three-pointers against the Mavericks on Monday.
Johnson came up big in the second half of Monday’s game, scoring 20 of his 28 points after the break. That wasn’t enough for San Antonio to get the win, but he did tie his season-high for scoring, which he has now reached three times this season. Johnson isn’t a great option in category formats, but he is more than capable of getting hot and knocking down a ton of shots. They play Dallas again on Wednesday, and Johnson will look to keep the offensive production going.
  • SAS Power Forward #10
Jeremy Sochan (calf) is out for Monday’s game against the Mavericks.
No surprise here as Sochan was initially listed as doubtful with a calf injury. Keldon Johnson could see increased minutes and usage with the 21-year-old power forward out. Johnson is a potential streamer for managers looking for points and threes in deeper formats.
  • SAS Power Forward #10
Jeremy Sochan (calf) is doubtful, and Stephon Castle (shoulder) is questionable for Monday’s matchup with the Mavericks.
The Spurs could be without two key players on Monday. If Castle is sidelined, Julian Champagnie could see an uptick in playing time, and if Sochan sits, Keldon Johnson could earn some additional minutes.

Keldon Johnson logged 30 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Grizzlies, scoring 15 points (6-of-13 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two three-pointers.
Rostered in 34 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Johnson’s fantasy value has increased slightly since the All-Star break. The Spurs forward has provided 10th-round value in nine-cat formats since the break, approaching the top-100. Johnson finished Saturday’s victory with a complete stat line, the first he’s recorded since January 13. While his improved play is unlikely to push Johnson into the starting lineup, he deserves a longer look in standard leagues with Victor Wembanyama done for the season.

Keldon Johnson shot 8-of-13 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets, amassing 22 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes.
After scoring nine points on 4-of-13 shooting in the Spurs’ final two games before the All-Star break, Johnson has reached double figures in five straight. Surpassing the 20-point mark in two outings, including Wednesday’s defeat, he has been a top 100 player in eight-cat formats. With Devin Vassell (nine points, five rebounds, three assists and one three-pointer in 24 minutes) continuing to struggle, it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to consider rostering Johnson in the short term. He’s available in 69 percent of Yahoo! leagues, so he won’t be too difficult to find on the waiver wire.

Keldon Johnson shot 7-of-9 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Sunday’s loss to the Pelicans, finishing with 18 points, two rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in 24 minutes.
Johnson’s game has rarely been “fantasy friendly,” which remains the case regarding his value for the 2024-25 season. However, the improved scoring makes him worth a look in points leagues, especially with Victor Wembanyama out for the rest of the season. Johnson has scored 15 points or more in three straight games and has shot 63.6 percent from the field over the past three weeks. A suitable pickup in points leagues, Keldon’s limited production outside of points makes him someone worth leaving alone in category formats.

Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 28 points (11-of-13 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs), four rebounds, five assists and one three-pointer in a 125-110 loss to the Pistons on Friday.
This was an ugly game for the Spurs on the second night of a back-to-back, but Johnson was one of the few bright spots. He led all scorers in this game and tied his season-high for scoring. Johnson will continue to see extra minutes and shots with Victor Wembanyama done for the season. However, managers shouldn’t expect scoring nights like this consistently. Johnson should be a fine option in points leagues, but he doesn’t contribute much outside of scoring, which makes him a difficult player to roster in category formats.

Julian Champagnie amassed 15 points (5-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, two assists, and three three-pointers in 16 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Suns.
Back in action after a headache forced him to leave the Spurs’ final game before the All-Star break, Champagnie had a solid Thursday night off the bench. He only needed 16 minutes to score 15 points, shooting 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Unfortunately for the few who still have Champagnie rostered, the decrease in playing time has eliminated most of his fantasy value. But he remains a better option than Keldon Johnson, despite KJ finishing Thursday’s win with 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two three-pointers in 24 minutes off the bench.
