Keith Van Horn and Desmond Mason were back at practice yesterday after missing the final two exhibition games because of illness.
Both will be available in the regular-season opener.

Coach Terry Porter spoke yesterday about injured forwards Keith Van Horn and Toni Kukoc.
Porter said they improving but neither one had been able to return to practice, which is why the Bucks have not placed a timetable on the return of either player.

Keith Van Horn still is having problems walking with the strained plantar fascia in his left foot and probably won’t play Sunday.
Both Van Horn and Derrick Coleman could be held out of action until the playoffs.

Van Horn is doubtful for tomorrow.

Keith Van Horn did not play on Saturday against San Antonio and will not make the trip to Indiana for tonight’s game due to tendinitis in his right ankle.
While we’re listing him as day-to-day, the Bucks aren’t sure how this injury is going to play out, and the fact he’s not travelling is not a good sign for the rest of the week.

Keith Van Horn played only 13 minutes Sunday, scoring 12 points with two rebounds.
Van Horn only logged four minutes in the second half, because, said coach Larry Brown, “he had four fouls in 12 minutes.”
  • BKN Small Forward
Keith Van Horn played 23 minutes on Friday and 26 on Sunday, but with his ankle still bothering him he’s all but maxed out playing half a game.
The Bucks won both games last weekend, so they are seeing a benefit from having Van Horn back part-time. It doesn’t make him very valuable in fantasy leagues, though. For the time being, expect to see Van Horn coming off the bench, spelling Joe Smith and Desmond Mason at the forward spots.
  • BKN Small Forward
The Bucks are hoping Keith Van Horn will be able to play in their next game. He didn’t suit up Sunday because of ankle tendinitis.
“He’s day-to-day, just like the rest of us,” coach Terry Porter said. “So we’re looking at Tuesday.” Fantasy leaguers should reserve Van Horn until he’s starting and playing regular minutes.
  • BKN Small Forward
Keith Van Horn is listed as questionable for tonight’s game.
His foot and ankle continue to bother him, and he should be reserved in all formats.
  • BKN Small Forward
Keith Van Horn is likely to be shut down until the season opener.
Van Horn strained his left groin in last night’s game. If he feels any pain today, the Knicks will keep him out all week.
