Kyle Kuzma (left rib sprain) is not on the injury report ahead of Monday’s matchup with the Knicks.
Kuzma has been sidelined for over a month, but he should be back for this game, barring some sort of mistake with the injury report. Justin Champagnie had a fantastic game against New York on Saturday, but he will likely be pushed to the bench with Kuzma back.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #9
Justin Champagnie logged 45 minutes in Saturday’s 136-132 overtime loss to the Knicks, tallying 31 points (13-of-15 FGs), 10 rebounds, one assist, two steals, and five 3-pointers.
Champagnie, who grew up in Brooklyn, put on a show against the Knicks on Saturday. He only missed two shots, and things could have gotten worse for New York. Washington went away from Champagnie offensively late in regulation, and the Knicks leaned on Jalen Brunson in overtime to take the win. Rostered in 15% of Yahoo leagues, Champagnie has provided top 40 value since December 1. He’ll have value as long as the Wizards keep Kyle Kuzma out of the lineup.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (left rib sprain) will remain sidelined for Saturday’s matchup with New York.
It has been about a month since Kuz last suited up, and he will remain sidelined this weekend. Justin Champagnie should continue to start in his place, where he has been a top-100 player over the last two weeks.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (left rib sprain) is out for Thursday’s game against Charlotte.
Kuzma, who has not appeared in a game since November 27, remains without a timeline for return. That spot in the starting lineup should remain Justin Champagnie’s until Kuzma returns, and he’s worth streaming in deep leagues.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (left rib sprain) is out for Monday’s game against the Thunder.
Kuzma has not appeared in a game since November 27 and does not have a timeline for return. Justin Champagnie, who’s rostered in 23% of Yahoo leagues, should remain in the starting lineup. He’s worth having until Kuzma is cleared to play, especially with Bilal Coulibaly questionable for Monday’s game.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (left rib sprain) is out for Saturday’s game against the Bucks.
While Kuzma was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice, he still isn’t at the point where he can physically perform in games. Justin Champagnie should remain in the starting lineup until that changes, and he is worth streaming in deep leagues.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (left rib sprain) will miss Sunday’s game against the Celtics.
Kuzma has missed Washington’s last six games with his rib injury, and Sunday pushes that number to seven. Justin Champagnie has been the fill-in, and he is worth streaming until Kuzma returns due to the Wizards’ many injuries on the wing.
  • WAS Center #20
Alexandre Sarr (low back soreness) is not on the injury report ahead of Friday’s game against Cleveland.
Sarr missed the first two games of his career on Saturday and Sunday, but he’ll be back in the lineup after getting almost a full week off. His return will likely push Justin Champagnie out of the starting unit after he had 14 points, eight rebounds and five steals in their last game.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #9
Justin Champagnie accounted for 23 points (9-of-13 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, two steals, two blocks, and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Nuggets.
Champagnie made his first start of the season on Saturday, stepping in for the injured Alexandre Sarr. And the two-way contract player was excellent, impacting the action on both ends of the floor. Depending on who’s available for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies, Champagnie may be worth a roll of the dice in deep leagues.
  • WAS Small Forward #8
Deni Avdija (head migraine), Richaun Holmes (left big toe contusion) and Johnny Davis (left ankle sprain) are questionable to play against Portland on Friday.
Avdija exited early from their last game, while Richaun Holmes has missed their last four. If Avdija remains out, Justin Champagnie should start in his place after he started the second half on Wednesday. If Holmes remains out, Tristan Vukcevic will start once again. Davis’ availability will not impact fantasy basketball.
