The Kings have signed Juan Toscano-Anderson to a 10-day contract.
Three days after he was waived, Toscano-Anderson is back with the Kings on a 10-day contract. While eligible to play in Tuesday’s game against the Pistons, he’s unlikely to get the rotation minutes needed to be of value to fantasy managers.

According to James Ham, the Kings are expected to waive Juan Toscano-Anderson.
Toscano-Anderson, who played sparingly after being signed by the Kings in mid-December, had a contract due to be guaranteed on January 10. This transaction frees up a roster spot for the Kings, who are back at 14 standard contract players.
  • SAC Small Forward #95
Juan Toscano-Anderson has signed with the Kings on a one-year deal, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
JTA will provide some depth and defense to a Kings team that is currently sixth in the West. He hasn’t ever been a great fantasy option, but he should be an important veteran presence for them.
  • NBA Power Forward #95
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Warriors will host multiple free agents for workouts over the next few weeks.
The Warriors are well under the roster limit for training camp (20), as they have a total of 14 players guaranteed to be present in early October. Given the team’s salary cap situation, they have to look for relative bargains to fill out the roster. As a result, multiple free agents will work out for the team over the next two weeks. According to the report, Juan Toscano-Anderson is one of those players. Also reportedly headed to the Bay Area to work out for the Warriors are Dion Waiters, Tony Snell, Kent Bazemore, Harry Giles, and Trey Burke. Toscano-Anderson and Bazemore have been with the Warriors before, but there’s no telling if the familiarity will enhance their chances of sticking.
  • Small Forward #95
Kris Dunn, Ochai Agbaji, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Luka Samanic, and Udoka Azubuike will start Saturday’s game against the Nuggets.
Toscano-Anderson is the lone change to the starting lineup from Thursday’s loss to Oklahoma City, as he’ll replace Kelly Olynyk. Of the five starters, Dunn, Agbaji, and Samanic are the best options as far as fantasy basketball is concerned.

  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk (non-COVID illness) will be available to play against the Celtics on Friday.
After a one-game absence, Olynyk will be back in the lineup on Friday. That will likely push Juan Toscano-Anderson back to a role off the bench, after he played 25 minutes on Thursday.

  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk (non-COVID illness) is questionable for Friday’s matchup with Boston.
Olynyk missed their last game, which allowed Juan Toscano-Anderson to slide into the starting lineup and play 25 minutes. If Olynyk misses another, JTA will have low-end streaming value in deeper leagues, but with 13 games on Friday, it’ll be better to look in other directions.

  • Small Forward #95
Talen Horton-Tucker, Ochai Agbaji, Simone Fontecchio, Juan Toscano-Anderson, and Walker Kessler will start Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
With Lauri Markkanen and Kelly Olynyk ruled out due to injury, Fontecchio and Toscano-Anderson are in the starting lineup. While it is risky, both are worth streaming in this spot, as the Jazz will be severely undermanned. Utah’s other three starters are unchanged.

  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk (non-COVID illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Olynyk was not on the initial injury report, and his absence leaves Utah down another starter. His absence frees up additional minutes for Juan Toscano-Anderson and Jarrell Brantley, with the former being the player more likely to move into the starting lineup. Given how shorthanded the Jazz will be, the spot starter (especially if it’s JTA) is worth streaming in deep leagues.

  • DET Small Forward #19
Simonte Fontecchio (turf toe, left foot) has been upgraded to available for Wednesday’s matchup with San Antonio.
Fontecchio returns from a one game absence, which means he should start, with Lauri Markkanen (hand) out for this game. Juan Toscano-Anderson and Jarrell Brantley should see minutes off the bench, though Fontecchio should play a large enough role to provide plenty of 3-pointers, as he did on Friday.
