Josh Minott provided a boost off the bench with 18 points (7-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, one assist, one block and three 3-pointers against the Bulls on Wednesday.
Minott’s strong preseason continued as the former second round pick had another excellent performance. The former second-round pick won’t make much of an impact in redraft leagues this season, but he may end up being part of the rotation at times if he is able to carry over some of this preseason production. However, dynasty managers have to be excited about these numbers. He has long been considered a sleeper prospect, and his ceiling is incredibly high.
  • MIN Power Forward #8
Josh Minott shot 9-of-11 from the field and 0-of-2 from the foul line in Friday’s 124-107 win over the Lakers, accumulating 22 points, eight rebounds, one assist, three steals, two blocks, and four 3-pointers.
With no Timberwolves starters playing after the first quarter, there was ample opportunity for players further down the pecking order to show what they can do. Minott was excellent on Friday, racking up five “stocks” while shooting 4-of-6 from three. He played limited minutes in his first two seasons, and the 3-point shot was not part of Minott’s repertoire when he did see action (6-of-16). With Julius Randle (shoulder) sidelined, Minott is a player who could find himself on the back end of the rotation if the newest Timberwolf is not healthy when the regular season begins. That doesn’t make Minott a player in standard league drafts, but he’s worth tracking for deeper leagues.
  • MIN Power Forward #8
Josh Minott posted a full line on Thursday with 15 points (5-of-9 FGs), four rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and two triples against Houston.
Though he didn’t see the floor much through his first two seasons in the NBA, Minott has gotten off to a strong start this summer. He is averaging 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.0 block and 1.0 triple through the team’s first four games, which has been a great opportunity for him to show off his upside. Minott is still only 21 years old, and if he continues to develop, he has the makings of an impact player in fantasy basketball.
  • MIN Power Forward #8
Josh Minott accumulated 15 points (4-of-10 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), 12 rebounds, two steals, one block, and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes in Sunday’s 105-94 win over the Pacers.
The Timberwolves went into summer league hoping to see more production from Minott, and he’s answered the call. The 2022 second-round pick, who has not earned consistent rotation minutes, recorded a double-double on Sunday and contributed two steals and one blocked shot. While Leonard Miller (7/3/1/0/1 in 17 minutes) has been relatively quiet in Las Vegas, Minott’s growth has translated into impressive numbers.
  • MIN Power Forward #8
Josh Minott (illness) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday’s matchup with Indiana.
Minott was ruled out for their last game, but he is not on the injury report for this one. However, even if he is available, Minott won’t see enough minutes to impact fantasy basketball.
  • MIN Point Guard #6
Jordan McLaughlin (illness) and Josh Minott (illness) have been downgraded to out for Monday’s game against Portland.
Neither absence will significantly impact fantasy basketball, although McLaughlin has been in the rotation most nights. He was passed in the pecking order by Monte Morris, who can absorb whatever minutes would have gone to McLaughlin. As for Minott, he has not been in the Timberwolves’ rotation when healthy.
  • MIN Small Forward #1
Kyle Anderson (left knee sprain), Jordan McLaughlin (illness) and Josh Minott (illness) are questionable to play against Portland on Monday.
All three players were available to play on Sunday, though only Anderson saw minutes. The status of McLaughlin and Minott won’t impact the team’s rotation, but if Slo Mo has to sit out the second leg of a back-to-back, Naz Reid should see extended minutes off the bench.
  • MIN Power Forward #8
Josh Minott (illness) will play against the Heat on Monday.
Minott will return to the lineup after a one-game absence. However, he isn’t part of their rotation, so this won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • MIN Power Forward #3
Jaden McDaniels (sacral contusion) and Josh Minott (illness) are questionable to play against Miami on Monday.
Minott missed their last game, though he isn’t a large part of their rotation, so his continued absence won’t impact much. McDaniels exited early on Saturday, and there is a chance that he remains out on Monday. If that happens, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Troy Brown Jr. and Kyle Anderson would all likely see extra minutes, with NAW moving into the starting unit.
  • MIN Power Forward #8
Josh Minott (illness) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Pacers.
Minott’s absence will not impact fantasy basketball, as he’s out of the rotation on most nights. He should already be on the waiver wire.
