  • LAL Point Guard #4
According to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, Goodwin is signing a training camp deal with Los Angeles ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Goodwin spent most of last season with the Phoenix Suns, where he averaged 5.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists across 40 outings. He then notched 10.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 17 games with the Memphis Grizzlies.
  • MEM Point Guard #4
Jordan Goodwin finished Friday’s loss to the Lakers with 23 points (7-of-22 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 17 rebounds, three assists, four steals, and four 3-pointers in 38 minutes.
After grabbing a career-high 19 rebounds on Tuesday, Goodwin corralled 17 more on Friday. Add the steals, and he made up for a subpar night shooting the basketball. Goodwin and Scotty Pippen Jr. have been solid fantasy assets down the stretch, as the Grizzlies are playing out the string with a depleted roster. Pippen finished Friday’s defeat with 28 points, five rebounds, six assists, four steals, and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes. However, Pippen is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Nuggets with an eye injury. Goodwin’s value would be boosted if Pippen cannot play.
  • MEM Point Guard #4
Jordan Goodwin shot 5-of-15 from the field in Tuesday’s 102-87 loss to the Spurs, accumulating 10 points, 19 rebounds, and five assists in 36 minutes.
Goodwin did not have a good night shooting the ball, making 33.3% of his attempts, but he was highly productive as a rebounder. Eight of his career-high 19 rebounds came on the offensive end of the floor, and he was also responsible for five assists. Scotty Pippen Jr. also struggled with his shot (4-of-15 FGs) but recorded a full stat line, finishing with 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four steals, and one blocked shot in 31 minutes. With Desmond Bane (back) unlikely to play again this season, managers in active fantasy leagues need to add Goodwin and Pippen.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #22
Desmond Bane (lumbar disc bulge) will not play in Tuesday’s game against the Spurs.
Memphis isn’t playing for anything other than draft lottery odds, so they do not need to put Bane at risk of further injuring himself. Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jordan Goodwin will play plenty during the final week of the regular season. Managers in active fantasy leagues should add them, as they’re available in most leagues.
  • MEM Point Guard #1
Scotty Pippen Jr. shot 7-of-10 from the field in Friday’s win over Detroit, amassing 16 points, three rebounds, seven assists, four steals, one block, and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes.
While he was responsible for five turnovers, Pippen’s overall stat line made up for that. Rostered in seven percent of Yahoo leagues, he has provided 10th-round per-game value over the past week in 8-cat formats. The turnovers (2.8 per game) have conspired to limit Pippen’s value in 9-cat formats, but Memphis’ many injuries make him worth the risk. That can also be said for Jordan Goodwin, who started alongside Pippen and finished with 14 points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes. Both are worth rostering if Desmond Bane, Luke Kennard, and John Konchar aren’t available for Saturday’s game against Philadelphia.
  • MEM Power Forward #13
Jaren Jackson Jr. (right quad tendonitis) and Desmond Bane (back soreness) have been ruled out for Friday’s game against Detroit.
Jackson Jr. was playing too well, so now he will join his co-star on the sidelines for Friday’s game. That will open up a ton of minutes and shots for young guys, which should allow for Scotty Pippen Jr., Jordan Goodwin, GG Jackson and Jake LaRavia to have a chance to provide really strong value.
  • MEM Point Guard #4
Jordan Goodwin provided a boost off the bench with 11 points (5-of-9 FGs), 12 rebounds and seven assists against the Bucks on Wednesday.
Goodwin has been in and out of the lineup lately as they try and manage how many available NBA games he has left this season, due to his two-way contract. However, he has been able to play in three straight and has averaged 11.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 triples in 26.5 minutes per game. He has been adept at coming away with steals in the past, but he hasn’t had many recently. Poor shooting percentages have also limited his value. However, he has been an elite rebounder, which has allowed ti provided top-100 value during this stretch. Unfortunately, he will continue to be a frustrating player to roster, since his availability for each game will be unclear until just before tipoff.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #22
Desmond Bane (back soreness) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Bucks.
Bane will miss a third straight game due to a sore back. His continued absence frees up additional minutes for Luke Kennard and Scotty Pippen Jr., who have served as Memphis’ starting backcourt in the last two games. Kennard, Pippen, and Jordan Goodwin are worth streaming while Bane sits, with the former offering a higher fantasy floor.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #46
John Konchar (right plantar fasciitis) is doubtful for Monday’s game against the Pistons.
After sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Magic with a sore heel, Konchar appears on the injury report for Monday due to plantar fasciitis. The doubtful designation suggests it’s unlikely he will be cleared to play against the Pistons. Maozinha Pereira and Jordan Goodwin are available to absorb minutes off the bench, and they are worth streaming.
  • MEM Point Guard #4
Jordan Goodwin posted 16 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and four three-pointers across 27 minutes in Saturday’s blowout loss to Orlando.
Goodwin provided his second double-double in four games, and surprisingly, those are the only double-doubles of his three-year career. He was a lone bright spot for Memphis in the 30-point loss, leading his team in scoring, rebounds, steals and three-pointers. The Saint Louis product has seen increased run for Memphis as of late, starting seven of his last eight games and logging 28 minutes per tilt in that span. Rostered in just 2% of Yahoo leagues, Goodwin is worth a look in most fantasy leagues due to his multi-category contributions on offense and defense.
