  • SAC Point Guard #20
UCLA point guard Jordan Farmar has officially decided to stay in the NBA draft.
That means he’ll forego his final two years of college eligibility. He’s not a guaranteed first-round pick, but most mock drafts have him going in the second half of the first round.

A source close to Jordan Farmar said Sunday he expects him to remain in the NBA draft and forgo his remaining two years of college eligibility.
The UCLA sophomore point guard is not expected to make a formal announcement until closer to Sunday, the deadline for players who have declared themselves eligible for the draft to withdraw and retain their college eligibility. As long as Farmar does not hire an agent, he can still return to UCLA.

The Lakers selected UCLA point guard Jordan Farmar with the 26th pick in the draft.
They needed a point guard and the local talent was the best left on the board at this point. He may have trouble cracking the Lakers starting five next year, but he could end up being a fantasy sleeper if he can get the minutes from Phil Jackson.

The Lakers signed 19-year-old guard Jordan Farmar on Wednesday.
He was the 26th overall pick in last week’s draft, after passing up his final two years of eligibility at UCLA. He has some work to do, but should see some minutes as a backup point guard for the Lakers this season.
  • PHI Small Forward #45
Gerald Wallace is expected to make his Nets debut on Saturday against the Hornets.
Unless we hear that Wallace is going to be held back or eased in, there is no reason for owners to hold back on using him. Considering how bad things were in Portland, the move to Jersey looks like a net positive for Crash on the surface. Jordan Farmar and Anthony Morrow will struggle a bit more for minutes, assuming Deron Williams (calf) plays, of course.

Jordan Farmar (groin) will practice on Tuesday and be a game-time decision for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.
As long as Deron Williams’ calf injury doesn’t linger, Farmar will struggle to hold real value in fantasy leagues.
  • SAC Point Guard #20
Jordan Farmar (groin) said there is a “chance” he’ll play again this season.
The Nets had previously ruled Farmar out for the year, but Farmar is holding out hope he’ll be able to return for the final stretch. He remains out indefinitely and is not an option in fantasy formats.
  • SAC Point Guard #20
Jordan Farmar is expected back from his groin injury on Friday.
He missed four games, but should be back in action tonight, although his fantasy value isn’t great as long as Deron Williams and MarShon Brooks are healthy.

Jordan Farmar (groin) is a game-time decision on Friday.
Farmar feels better, but he’s still listed as a game-time call. Avery Johnson reportedly sounded more optimistic on Farmar playing, but we’ll have to wait until just before tipoff to get official word.
  • SAC Point Guard #20
Jordan Farmar (groin) returned to action on Friday, scoring seven points on 3-of-6 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, one assist, and one steal in 14 minutes.
Farmar may work his way back into the rotation and produce some interesting lines from time to time, but he’ll need an injury in front of him before he provides any real fantasy value.
