  • TOR Power Forward #34
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Jontay Porter has received a lifetime ban for disclosing confidential information to bettors.
The investigation found that Porter provided health information to bettors that led them to place large wagers on his performances. The bets included successful wagers on the Raptors losing and Porter underperforming, which triggered the investigation.
  • TOR Power Forward #34
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jontay Porter is the subject of an investigation into “irregularities on prop betting involving him.”
Porter was ruled out for Monday’s game against the Nets for “personal reasons” and may not be cleared to return until the investigation is completed. While this frees up minutes off the bench for Jalen McDaniels and Mouhamadou Gueye, neither needs to be added immediately. Fantasy managers can watch both on Monday to better understand the minutes’ distribution and players’ production.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #5
Immanuel Quickley (personal reasons), Jontay Porter (personal reasons) and D.J. Carton (right ankle sprain) will be out for Monday’s matchup with the Nets.
No surprises here as none of the trio have been given a timeline to return. Toronto’s most recent starting five was Kelly Olynyk, Gary Trent Jr., Jahmi’us Ramsey, Ochai Agbaji and Gradey Dick, with Bruce Brown logging 33 minutes off the bench. Trent Jr. and Olynyk have been the most reliable streamers, and none of the other players mentioned are worth adds in 12-team leagues.
  • TOR Power Forward #34
Jontay Porter has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Wizards for personal reasons.
Add Porter’s name to the list of Raptors players who will not be available for Saturday’s game. His absence will free up additional minutes for Jalen McDaniels and Mouhamadou Gueye, neither of whom need to be streamed in most fantasy leagues.
  • TOR Power Forward #34
Jontay Porter (illness) is not on the injury report for Friday’s game against the Thunder.
Porter was forced to exit Wednesday’s loss to the Kings after playing three minutes. His removal from the injury report is good news for Toronto, which is light on bodies in the frontcourt. Porter should be rostered in deep leagues, with the Raptors essentially playing out the string.
  • TOR Power Forward #34
Jontay Porter (illness) has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday’s game against the Kings.
Porter played just three minutes off the bench before exiting Wednesday’s game. Toronto already lacked bodies throughout the rotation, so losing one of their few available bigs doesn’t help deal with Domantas Sabonis. Mouhamadou Gueye will play rotation minutes off the bench, and his name is one to remember if Porter misses time.
  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk shot 5-of-12 from the field and 0-of-2 from the foul line in Friday’s loss to Orlando, tallying 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 26 minutes.
While the move into the starting lineup has boosted Olynyk’s fantasy value, foul trouble has been a concern recently. He’s picked up at least four fouls in five consecutive games, fouling out of two (including Friday night). Olynyk’s foul trouble against the Magic freed up additional minutes for Jontay Porter, who, in 26 minutes, accounted for four rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks. Porter did not score, but the production in other categories makes him worth a look in deep leagues. As for Olynyk, managers who have him rostered should remain patient, as his place within the rotation makes him a relatively safe play in fantasy.
  • TOR Power Forward #25
Chris Boucher (right knee inflammation) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Nuggets.
Boucher has been sidelined after having one of his best games of the season in Toronto’s overtime loss to the Blazers on Saturday. His absence should result in more minutes for Jalen McDaniels and Jontay Porter, with the former having accounted for 10 rebounds, two steals, and one blocked shot in Portland. McDaniels offers a higher fantasy upside than Porter, but both should play plenty in Denver.
  • TOR Center #41
Kelly Olynyk (strained back) is not listed on the injury report for Thursday’s game against the Nets.
Olynyk exited early from their final game before the All-Star break, but that won’t prevent him from playing on Thursday. After only playing seven minutes before his exit, he should play minutes in the low 20’s, like he did in his first two games with his new squad.
  • TOR Power Forward #34
Jontay Porter (right ankle sprain) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Pacers.
Porter has officially been cleared to play, but this will not impact fantasy basketball. Starter Jakob Poeltl and backup Kelly Olynyk will play most of the available minutes at center.
