Joe Harris has retired from basketball after 10 seasons, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Harris was waived by the Pistons in February and decided to call it a career six months later. He shot 43.6% on 3-pointers over the course of his 10 years in the league, which currently ranks fifth all-time. Harris had the best 3-point percentage during the 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons and won the 3-point contest in 2019. He is one of the best shooters in NBA history and ended up playing with Team USA during the 2019 World Cup because of his deep-range ability.

The Pistons waived Joe Harris on Thursday, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Harris hasn’t really been part of Detroit’s rotation this season, and they’ll move on from him after making a pair of trades earlier in the day that resulted in them adding extra players. Harris will have the chance to sign with a new squad, but he probably won’t find a situation where he can provide much fantasy value.

Joe Harris (right shoulder sprain) is questionable to play against the Magic on Friday.
It has been over a month since Harris last played, but there is a chance that he is back in the lineup on Friday. They’ll take whatever help they can get to try and end this losing streak, and Harris should provide some spacing. Unfortunately, that could mean even fewer minutes for Ausar Thompson and Isaiah Livers.

Joe Harris (right shoulder sprain) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Harris was initially doubtful for Wednesday’s game, so the status downgrade is unsurprising. His continued absence will not significantly impact fantasy basketball, given the amount of time that Harris has missed.

Joe Harris (right shoulder sprain) is officially doubtful for Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies.
While progressing in his recovery, Harris still has a way to go before he’s cleared for game action. And even if he happens to get cleared to play on Wednesday, the minutes needed to be of value in any fantasy league won’t be there, especially with Bojan Bogdanovic back in action.

According to Pistons beat writer Omari Sankofa II, Joe Harris “is ramping up but hadn’t done any 5-on-5, and is still a ways away from returning.”
Harris’ availability is of little concern to fantasy managers, especially with Bojan Bogdanovic back in action. Fantasy managers who weren’t content to let Harris sit on the waiver wire should treat this as a wake-up call and drop him.

Joe Harris (right shoulder sprain) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Harris’ continued absence won’t impact fantasy basketball, especially with Bojan Bogdanovic closing in on a return to game action. Harris should already be on the waiver wire in most, if not all, fantasy leagues.
  • DET Shooting Guard #31
Joe Harris will miss Thursday’s matchup with the Knicks due to a right shoulder sprain.
Harris hasn’t played since November 5, but even when available, he logged just 14 minutes per tilt. Fantasy managers will barely notice his absence Thursday against New York.

Joe Harris (right shoulder sprain) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.
Harris will remain sidelined for at least one more game. However, when healthy, he didn’t play enough to merit consideration in fantasy leagues, so the continued absence will have minimal impact.
  • DET Small Forward #44
Bojan Bogdanovic (right calf strain) and Joe Harris (right shoulder sprain) have been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Wizards.
Bogdanovic and Harris will remain sidelined, with the former yet to make his season debut. Bogdanovic’s absence means that Ausar Thompson, who has been one of the top rookies in fantasy basketball, has nothing to worry about regarding his place in the starting lineup.
