Alperen Sengun (personal) and Amen Thompson (rest) are not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Nuggets.
Based on the Rockets’ initial injury report for Sunday’s regular-season finale, Sengun and Thompson will be available. However, Houston has already secured the two-seed in the West, so the starters’ playing time may be limited. Jeff Green, Cam Whitmore and Jock Landale started Friday’s loss to the Lakers, and the latter two are safe bets to log rotation minutes off the bench on Sunday.
  • HOU Center #28
Alperen Sengun (personal) and Fred VanVleet (ankle) are questionable for Friday’s game against the Lakers.
Sengun and VanVleet sat out Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers, with the former not playing due to a sore back. He’s now questionable for personal reasons. The Rockets started Reed Sheppard at point guard and Jock Landale at the five on Wednesday. They may do the same if VanVleet and Sengun cannot play against the Lakers.
  • HOU Point Guard #5
Fred VanVleet (ankle) and Alperen Sengun (back) are out for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
VanVleet and Sengun will not play on Wednesday, as the Rockets have clinched the two-seed in the West. Aaron Holiday and Reed Sheppard may see their minutes increase due to VanVleet’s absence, while Steven Adams and Jock Landale will pick up the slack for Sengun.
  • HOU Center #12
Steven Adams (wrist) is absent from the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Suns.
Adams is back after sitting out Thursday’s win over the Jazz. He’ll handle the backup center responsibilities, while Jock Landale will likely fall out of the rotation. There’s no need to roster Landale, who may re-enter the rotation for Monday’s game against the Lakers.
  • HOU Center #12
Steven Adams (wrist) has been ruled out against the Jazz on Thursday.
With Adams sidelined, Jock Landale will fill out the backup center minutes behind Alperen Sengun. That won’t result in Landale playing enough minutes to warrant a stream in any format.
  • HOU Point Guard #1
Amen Thompson (ankle) and Steven Adams (wrist) are questionable for Thursday’s game against the Jazz.
Amen Thompson is in danger of missing a second-straight game with an ankle injury and could be replaced by Tari Eason in the starting unit again if ruled out. Jock Landale could step in as Alperen Sengun’s primary backup if Adams is ruled out.
  • HOU Center #2
Jock Landale (knee) will be available to play against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Landale started on Monday and contributed six points, three rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes. However, he will return to a reserve role with Alperen Sengun healthy, which will limit his time on the floor.
  • HOU Center #2
Jock Landale (knee) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Pacers.
Landale finished with six points and three rebounds in 21 minutes while making a spot start for Alperen Sengun Monday against the Thunder. The 29-year-old center is questionable for Tuesday’s game, but with Sengun off the injury report Landale has no fantasy value regardless of his availability.
  • HOU Center #2
Jock Landale finished Monday’s loss to the Thunder with six points (3-of-6 FGs), three rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes.
With Alperen Sengun sidelined for Monday’s game, Landale moved into the starting lineup. To say he provided limited value would be accurate, with N’Faly Dante being more impactful despite coming off the bench. Making his NBA debut, the rookie out of Oregon finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist and two blocked shots in 18 minutes. Neither Dante nor Landale will be worth holding onto for Tuesday’s game against the Pacers, as Sengun should be available.
  • HOU Shooting Guard #9
Dillon Brooks (knee) is out for Monday’s matchup with the Thunder, and Steven Adams (ankle) is available.
Brooks will join Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun and Fred VanVleet on the sideline, leaving Houston depleted across the roster. Jock Landale will start at center for Sengun, and Adams will be the first center off the bench. Reed Sheppard and Cam Whitmore will man backcourt duties for what could be a lopsided affair.
