Jock Landale (knee) will be available to play against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Landale started on Monday and contributed six points, three rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes. However, he will return to a reserve role with Alperen Sengun healthy, which will limit his time on the floor.
  • HOU Center #2
Jock Landale (knee) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Pacers.
Landale finished with six points and three rebounds in 21 minutes while making a spot start for Alperen Sengun Monday against the Thunder. The 29-year-old center is questionable for Tuesday’s game, but with Sengun off the injury report Landale has no fantasy value regardless of his availability.
  • HOU Center #2
Jock Landale finished Monday’s loss to the Thunder with six points (3-of-6 FGs), three rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes.
With Alperen Sengun sidelined for Monday’s game, Landale moved into the starting lineup. To say he provided limited value would be accurate, with N’Faly Dante being more impactful despite coming off the bench. Making his NBA debut, the rookie out of Oregon finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist and two blocked shots in 18 minutes. Neither Dante nor Landale will be worth holding onto for Tuesday’s game against the Pacers, as Sengun should be available.
  • HOU Shooting Guard #9
Dillon Brooks (knee) is out for Monday’s matchup with the Thunder, and Steven Adams (ankle) is available.
Brooks will join Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun and Fred VanVleet on the sideline, leaving Houston depleted across the roster. Jock Landale will start at center for Sengun, and Adams will be the first center off the bench. Reed Sheppard and Cam Whitmore will man backcourt duties for what could be a lopsided affair.
  • HOU Shooting Guard #15
Reed Sheppard, Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore, Jabari Smith Jr. and Jock Landale will start Monday’s game against the Thunder.
The Rockets are without Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks, Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson and Tari Eason for Monday’s game. Sheppard, Whitmore, Smith and Landale move into the starting lineup, with Smith having a chance to stick once Brooks, Sengun, Thompson and Eason return. (VanVleet may miss multiple games with his ankle injury.) All four fill-ins are worth streaming on Monday due to the Rockets’ lack of healthy options.
  • HOU Small Forward #17
Tari Eason (leg) and Steven Adams (ankle) are questionable for Monday’s game against the Thunder.
Eason and Adams were active for Saturday’s loss to the Kings, playing 23 and eight minutes off the bench, respectively. The former is far more impactful in fantasy basketball, especially with Fred VanVleet (ankle) already out. Eason could return to the starting lineup if available, but Jabari Smith Jr. is another option to fill the void left by VanVleet. If Adams cannot play, Jock Landale will move into the rotation.
  • HOU Small Forward #17
Tari Eason (leg) and Steven Adams (ankle) are not on the injury report against the Bucks on Tuesday.
Both Eason and Adams sat out the second leg of Houston’s back-to-back on Saturday, but they’ll be back to play Milwaukee. Eason’s return will take away minutes from Jeff Green and Cam Whitmore. With Fred VanVleet (ankle) and Dillon Brooks (illness) both questionable, there is a path for Eason to start. With Adams back, Jock Landale will be pushed back out of the rotation.
  • HOU Center #12
Steven Adams (ankle) is off the injury report ahead of Thursday’s game against the Warriors.
Initial reports suggested that Adams was set to rest on Thursday, but he’s off the injury report. Jock Landale would back up Alperen Sengun if Adams is ultimately ruled out.
  • HOU Center #12
Steven Adams (ankle) will play against the Suns on Wednesday.
Adams missed Sunday’s game against Toronto, which was the second night of a back-to-back. Adams has taken on a larger role recently, which has prevented him from playing in Houston’s last two back-to-backs. Alperen Sengun (back) is questionable, and Adams should be the starting center if Sengun is ruled out. However, that will likely result in Adams sitting out against the Warriors on Thursday. If both Sengun and Adams miss that game, Jock Landale will likely get his first start of the season.
  • HOU Center #28
Alperen Sengun (back) is “feeling better” and will test his back out on Wednesday to determine if he will play against the Suns.
Sengun only played three minutes on Sunday before exiting due to back spasms. If he doesn’t play against the Suns, he could play against Golden State on Thursday in Houston’s final game before the All-Star break. Steven Adams (ankle) will likely get the start in place of Sengun if he remains out against Phoenix. Adams had 11 points, seven rebounds, one steal and three blocks in his most recent start.
