DeAndre Bembry (abdominal pain) is probable for Friday’s game vs. Washington.
Bembry said he was dealing with a groin injury, even though the Hawks keep listing him as having abdominal pain, but either way he’s on the cusp of a return. As long as De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish are active, though, Bembry’s path to fantasy value is unclear.

The Pacers signed Snap Hunter to a partially guaranteed contract on Thursday.
He’ll be at the end of the rotation and can backup both guard spots.

When Jimmie “Snap” Hunter signs with the Pacers this week, they’ll have 16 players under contract while still trying to land a 17th in Al Harrington. The most they can have to start the season is 15.
It was initially believed the Pacers would release Rawle Marshall and Josh Powell, who were acquired in the Anthony Johnson trade, but they are having second thoughts. Marshall’s contract becomes guaranteed for next season if he’s still on the Pacers’ roster after Aug. 7 and Powell’s becomes guaranteed if he’s on the roster after Oct. 1. Only $100,000 of Hunter’s contract will be guaranteed, so he’s still a bit of a longshot to be on roster this year, and Powell isn’t likely to make the final cut either.

The Pacers waived Jimmie “Snap” Hunter on Friday.
With 13 roster positions set, that leaves four players -- point guard Orien Greene, center John Edwards, guard Rawle Marshall and forward Josh Powell -- fighting for two jobs. Greene’s job is thought to be safe, but the other three players are not going to sleep well this week.
