Jeremiah Robinson-Earl recorded a double-double on Friday with 19 points (7-of-11 FGs), 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one triple against Golden State.
JRE has seen some starts this season due to the amount of injuries that New Orleans has dealt with, but coming off the bench in this game, he was able to put together arguably his best game of the season. He set season-highs for both points and rebounds and hit a big shot late in the fourth to nearly help the Pelicans get the win. He didn’t get the starting nod with Yves Missi sidelined, but JRE ended up playing 23 minutes to Daniel Theis’ 18. This was a good game, but it doesn’t make JRE a must-add off the waiver wire.
  • NOP Center #21
Yves Missi (left shoulder soreness) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday’s Pelicans-Cavaliers game.
Missi has been downgraded from questionable ahead of this matchup. The Pelicans are exceedingly thin and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl could be poised to have a big role if Missi can’t suit up.
  • NOP Small Forward #14
Brandon Ingram (bilateral ankle sprain) and Trey Murphy III (right hamstring injury management) will miss Wednesday’s matchup with the Cavaliers.
Ingram and Murphy III will join seven other players on New Orleans’ injury report. New Orleans deployed a skeleton crew in Tuesday’s 41-point bludgeoning from Dallas, but Wednesday’s lineup will be even more bare-bones. Expect Javonte Green and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to see extended run as the Pels travel to Cleveland to face one of the NBA’s best teams.
  • NOP Small Forward #25
Trey Murphy (right hamstring injury management) is not on the injury report for Tuesday’s game against the Mavericks.
Due to Saturday’s game against the Lakers being the second in as many nights for New Orleans, Murphy did not play. He’ll be back in the lineup on Tuesday, which drops Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to the bench. JRE does not provide much value in fantasy basketball, even when allowed to start.
  • Jeremiah Robinson-Earl shot 4-of-9 from the field in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers, amassing 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
Trey Murphy (hamstring) sat out Saturday’s game, the second of a back-to-back, leading to Robinson-Earl getting the start. While the production wasn’t elite, JRE reached double figures for the third time in five games while also grabbing nine rebounds. The Pelicans have another back-to-back on Tuesday/Wednesday, so Robinson-Earl may have another opportunity to show what he can contribute as a starter.
  • NOP Small Forward #25
Trey Murphy (right hamstring injury management) will not play against the Lakers on Saturday.
Murphy will sit out the second night of the back-to-back, which isn’t surprising following his extended absence to start the season. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Jaylen Nowell will both be in line for extra minutes, with JRE likely to get the start in place of Murphy.
  • NOP Small Forward #25
The Pelicans will start Jose Alvarado, Brandon Boston Jr., Trey Murphy, Brandon Ingram and Yves Missi against the Nets on Monday.
Murphy is making his season debut and will replace Jeremiah Robinson-Earl in the starting unit. Murphy will see somewhere between 20-30 minutes, so JRE will likely still play a role off the bench, but it won’t be enough to justify rostering him.
  • NOP Power Forward #1
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Zion Williamson has been diagnosed with a strained left hamstring and is out indefinitely.
Per Charania, Williamson will be re-evaluated “in the coming weeks.” The Pelicans forward suffered the injury during Wednesday’s loss to the Cavaliers and did not play in Friday’s loss to the Magic. While Trey Murphy (hamstring) could debut on Monday, the Pelicans are still down multiple starters. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl may remain in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future, making him worth a look in extremely deep leagues.
  • Jose Alvarado, Brandon Boston Jr., Brandon Ingram, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, and Yves Missi will start Friday’s game against the Magic.
With Zion Williamson (hamstring) out, Robinson-Earl moves into the starting lineup for Friday’s game. While JRE should give the Pelicans solid minutes in this role, better streaming options are available, especially on a 13-game night. New Orleans’ other four starters are unchanged.
  • NOP Power Forward #1
Zion Williamson (left hamstring tightness) has been ruled out for Friday night’s game against the Magic.
Williamson was already dealing with a sore right thigh, but it’s his left hamstring that is keeping him out Friday. It’s probably for the best to let Zion rest his legs. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will move into the starting lineup against the Magic. Brandon Ingram will see as much usage as he can handle with Zion out in addition to CJ McCollum and Dejonte Murray.
