  • HOU Power Forward #32
According to a report from Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, the Rockets are guaranteeing Green’s $9.6 million salary for 2024-25.
Green averaged 6.5 points and 2.3 rebounds through 78 games last season. Houston’s young frontcourt is improving quickly, so Green is unlikely to be a significant fantasy option when the Rockets are healthy. Especially with Steven Adams set to return from a one-year layoff.
  • HOU Point Guard #1
Amen Thompson (left ankle sprain, right fifth finger tendon injury) is listed as probable to play against Dallas on Sunday.
Thompson was sidelined for the team’s last game, but he should be back to play in the Texas showdown on Sunday. That will push Jeff Green back to the bench after he scored 11 points in 22 minutes as a starter on Friday.
  • HOU Power Forward #32
Jeff Green will replace Amen Thompson in the starting lineup for Friday’s matchup with the Heat.
Amen Thompson is out after rolling his ankle Thursday, so Green will take his place in the starting lineup. Green has started five games this season and averaged 7.0 points, 3.4 boards, 0.6 steals and 0.6 across 27.0 minutes. He’s not an appealing streamer on Friday’s busy slate.
  • HOU Power Forward #10
Jabari Smith Jr. has been suspended one game for his role in an altercation with Kris Dunn during Saturday’s win over the Jazz.
Smith and Dunn got into an altercation during the second quarter of Saturday’s game, with both being ruled to have thrown a punch. Smith will sit out Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers, with Jeff Green and Jock Landale being the players most likely to absorb his minutes. Whichever one receives the starting nod is worth streaming in that spot.
  • HOU Power Forward #32
Jeff Green provided a boost off the bench with 21 points (7-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and four triples against the Jazz on Saturday.
Green took on a larger role in this game after Jabari Smith Jr. was ejected early in the second quarter after getting into it with Kris Dunn. He set a new season-high for scoring and scored 19 of his 21 points in the first half. He has played well over their last three games with averages of 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 triples per game. He’s a solid depth piece for them, but he isn’t worth adding off the waiver wire.
  • HOU Power Forward #10
Jabari Smith Jr. has been ejected from Saturday’s game against the Jazz due to a conflict with Kris Dunn.
Dunn may have started the “fight” by tugging on Smith’s jersey, but both players were ejected after they each threw some punches. Houston outscored Utah 47-21 in the first quarter, so Dunn may have been trying to give his team some motivation. Jeff Green, Reggie Bullock and Jae’Sean Tate should all help make up for Smith’s absence.
  • HOU Power Forward #32
Jeff Green (left knee pain) is available for Friday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Green is active after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers, and his return should drop Jock Landale out of the rotation. Neither has been productive enough to impact fantasy basketball this season, so there’s no need to roster them.
  • HOU Power Forward #32
Jeff Green (left knee pain) is questionable for Friday’s game against Portland.
Green sat out Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers, but his absence did not significantly impact the Rockets rotation. If Uncle Jeff remains sidelined, players already in the rotation, such as Cam Whitmore, can absorb the available minutes.
  • HOU Power Forward #32
Jeff Green (left knee pain) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Clippers.
Green will be sidelined for just the third time this season, which will result in extra minutes for Cam Whitmore and Reggie Bullock. Whitemore will be the only one worthy of a stream after he had 19 points and eight rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
  • HOU Power Forward #10
Jabari Smith Jr. is questionable for Wednesday’s matchup with the Clippers due to an illness.
Jeff Green is also questionable due to left knee pain, so Jae’Sean Tate and Cam Whitmore could be in line for expanded run if JSJ is ultimately ruled out. Whitmore is the preferred streaming option.
