Jeff Dowtin Jr. shot 11-of-15 from the field and 4-of-6 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over the Wizards, scoring 30 points with three assists, four steals, one block and four three-pointers in 29 minutes.
Since he was active for Wednesday’s game, Dowtin will only be able to play in one of Philadelphia’s final two games for two-way contract reasons. He made the most of his rotation minutes on Wednesday, scoring a career-high 30 points and nearly recording a complete stat line. For those in leagues active through the end of the regular season, Dowtin will be worth streaming for whichever of Philadelphia’s last two games he’s available for.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #12
Jared Butler amassed 19 points (7-of-12 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and four three-pointers in 29 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Heat.
With Jeff Dowtin Jr. inactive for two-way contract reasons, Butler returned to the starting lineup on Saturday. His 10 assists were a season-high, and Jared has reached double figures in points in consecutive games for the first time in nearly three weeks. Dowtin can only be active for two more games this season; unless Philadelphia gives him a standard contract, Butler will have more opportunities to start. An 11th-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks, he’s rostered in 18 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
  • PHI Point Guard #11
Jeff Dowtin Jr., Quentin Grimes, Justin Edwards, Ricky Council IV and Guerschon Yabusele will start Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.
Dowtin and Grimes will start Wednesday’s game, with Jared Butler and Chuma Okeke coming off the bench. While Grimes is already rostered in most standard leagues, Dowtin is worth streaming in deeper formats when allowed to start.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #14
Jared Butler, Ricky Council IV, Justin Edwards, Chuma Okeke and Guerschon Yabusele will start against the Pelicans on Monday.
Butler will return to the starting lineup in place of Quentin Grimes, who is getting a rest night to help Philadelphia’s lottery odds. Council IV will also enter the starting lineup, replacing Jeff Dowtin Jr. despite his 17/4/3/3/2 line in 26 minutes on Sunday.
  • PHI Point Guard #11
Jeff Dowtin finished Sunday’s loss to the Hawks with 17 points (7-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, three steals, two blocks and one three-pointer in 26 minutes.
Dowtin, on a two-way contract, started Sunday’s game after being inactive for the previous two. He’s approaching his 50-game limit (active for, not games played), hence Philadelphia’s decision not to utilize him on Wednesday or Friday. Even though the 76ers play four games during Week 21, there’s no guarantee Dowtin or Jalen Hood-Schifino will be available for each. Hood-Schifino was inactive on Sunday for the same reason Dowtin was earlier in the week.
  • PHI Point Guard #11
Jeff Dowtin Jr., Quentin Grimes, Justin Edwards, Chuma Okeke and Guerschon Yabusele will start Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
Dowtin replaces Jared Butler in the 76ers’ starting lineup. Butler should still play plenty, especially with Jalen Hood-Schifino inactive. That’s the lone change to the Philadelphia starting lineup.
  • PHI Point Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey (back, finger) and Lonnie Walker IV (concussion) are out for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder.
Maxey, who has not appeared in a game since March 3, will miss a ninth-straight contest on Wednesday. With Walker missing his fourth-straight due to the league’s concussion protocol, the 76ers will again rely on Quentin Grimes, Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin Jr. on the perimeter. Grimes should be rostered in standard leagues, while Butler and Dowtin are worth a look in deeper formats.
  • PHI Point Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey (back, finger) and Lonnie Walker IV (concussion) are out for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Maxey and Walker will remain out for another game, leaving the 76ers shorthanded on the perimeter. The good news for Philadelphia is that Quentin Grimes is available and will play a prominent role in the offense. Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin will also play extended minutes, with the former remaining in the starting lineup.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (illness) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Grimes is available after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Pacers. His return means Jeff Dowtin will likely head to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a hit. Dowtin is a deep-league option at best when used in a reserve role.
  • PHI Point Guard #11
Jeff Dowtin shot 11-of-20 from the field and 1-of-1 from the foul line in Friday’s loss to the Pacers, recording 24 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and one three-pointer in 39 minutes.
With the 76ers down numerous players due to injury, Dowtin played a marquee role in the team’s rotation on Friday. The veteran guard recorded his second 20-point game in as many outings, with Friday’s total representing a career-high. Add in the complete stat line, and this was a good night to have Dowtin rostered. How long this run will last depends on the health of the other 76ers guards and the number of games Dowtin can be active for as a two-way player. Therefore, Jared Butler also has value at this stage in the season. Butler, who’s on a standard deal, finished Friday’s loss with 17 points, three rebounds, four assists, one block and three three-pointers in 33 minutes.
