Jeff Adrien had his contract with Benetton Treviso (Italy) terminated and will reportedly sign a two-year deal with the Rockets.
Adrien caught on with the Warriors last season and will now look to earn a reserve role in Houston as an energy guy off the bench. It’s unlikely he’ll get enough playing time to absorb any sort of fantasy value.
  • NOP Power Forward #4
Jeff Adrien started the second half of Monday’s game instead of Samuel Dalembert, and finished with three points, nine boards, and two blocks in 17 minutes.
Adrien is probably being used as a motivation for Dalembert, and unless he can repeat this performance he should be ignored.
  • NOP Power Forward #4
    Rockets waived F/C Jeff Adrien.
It’s ironic that Adrien was waived one day after starting the second half in place of a benched Samuel Dalembert. He appeared in eight games on the year for the Rockets, averaging 2.6 points and 2.8 boards in 7.8 minutes.
  • NOP Power Forward #4
Jeff Adrien has officially signed a two-year contract with the Rockets.
Adrien received his letter of clearance from FIBA and signed the deal shortly thereafter. The first season is partially guaranteed, so Adrien should stick on the roster. He won’t come into any fantasy value without an injury or two ahead of him in the rotation.
  • NOP Power Forward #4
The Bobcats are expected to bring F Jeff Adrien, G Paris Horne, F Josh Owens and F DaJuan Summers to their training camp roster.
The plan is to have 17 guys in camp, with only 13 eligible to be on the opening-night roster. Of this list, Summers probably stands the best chance at making the club, but the reality is that all four players are long shots to do so.
  • MEM Power Forward #13
Tyrus Thomas (knee) returned to action on Saturday with two points in seven minutes off the bench.
Jeff Adrian played 21 minutes and continues to start at PF, and there’s no upside for either Thomas or Adrian because Byron Mullens (ankle) is targeting a return on Monday.
  • ORL Power Forward #31
Hakim Warrick (illness) will not play against the Pistons on Sunday.
He was heating up about a week ago, but just 6.0 points and 3.5 boards with no blocks in his last two games have put his fantasy value to bed in most formats. Tyrus Thomas and Jeff Adrien should pick up some extra playing time with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist also possibly seeing time at power forward.
  • MEM Power Forward #13
Tyrus Thomas will start against the Pistons on Sunday.
Hakim Warrick is out with an illness and Thomas will be called upon in just his second game back from a severe calf injury. He played only 13 minutes in his debut, so it would be tough for him to play near 30 minutes. Thomas has been a huge fantasy tease over the years for his defense and he’d have to really go off in order to get our attention. Jeff Adrien should also see some playing time with Warrick out.
  • NBA Power Forward #14
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist played 21 minutes on Saturday, finishing Charlotte’s third straight loss with four points, eight rebounds and two assists.
Mike Dunlap leaned heavily on his bench tonight and the result was another random dud for MKG, who had scored 11+ points in three straight prior to Saturday. Gerald Henderson scored 12 points in 28 minutes, Jeff Taylor played 17 minutes off the bench, and even rookie SF Jeff Adrien played 15 minutes.
  • MEM Power Forward #13
Tyrus Thomas will not play in Wednesday’s game due to a left knee contusion.
The injury was suffered in practice on Tuesday and no report was released until Wednesday’s tip vs. San Antonio. Tyrus has no value in almost any league. Jeff Adrien should play a little more while he’s out and until Byron Mullens (ankle) can return.
