Jaylin Williams provided a boost off the bench with 14 points (4-of-7 FGs), five rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers against the Hornets on Friday.
It wasn’t a fantastic encore to his triple-double on Wednesday, but it was another strong performance for JWill. If Mark Daigneault chooses to prioritize his team’s health for the playoffs, we could see Williams continue to play a significant role for the rest of the season. He may not be considered a must-add player at this point, he is worth keeping an eye to see how his minutes progress over OKC’s next few games.
  • OKC Center #55
Isaiah Hartenstein (back) is not on the injury report against the Hornets on Friday.
Hartenstein will be back after missing Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia. Jaylin Williams started and recorded a triple-double in that game, but he will likely be pushed back to a reserve role with Hartenstein back in the rotation.
  • OKC Power Forward #6
Jaylin Williams had 19 points (7-of-11 FGs), 17 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and three three-pointers against the 76ers on Wednesday.
Williams has played at least 20 minutes just twice in nine games so far in the month of March, but he’s recorded a triple-double in both of those games. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Isaiah Hartenstein and others out for the Thunder Wednesday, Williams was in the starting lineup again and put up a huge game. He was just one point and three rebounds shy of a 20-20 game. Williams isn’t much of a fantasy asset when the Thunder are at full strength, but he can certainly put up numbers when given the opportunity.
  • OKC Power Forward #6
Jaylin Williams had 10 points (4-of-7 FGs), 11 rebounds, 11 assists, three steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers against the Trail Blazers on Friday.
Williams moved into the starting lineup with Chet Holmgren (leg) and Isaiah Hartenstein both out Friday. The 22-year-old power forward didn’t disappoint fantasy mangers that chose to use him as a streamer. Williams had a triple-double and added three steals and two blocks on the defensive end. He’s unusable in fantasy leagues once Holmgren or Hartenstein returns, but this was quite an effort from a player that was on the waiver wire in pretty much every league.
  • OKC Small Forward #34
Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins, Kenrich Williams, Ousmane Dieng and Jaylin Williams will start Friday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
The Thunder are without multiple rotation players due to either injury or rest. As a result, this quintet will start together for the first time this season. Wiggins and Joe offer the highest ceilings, but both Williamses (Kenrich and Jaylin) are also worth a look in deep leagues.
  • OKC Power Forward #7
Chet Holmgren (leg) is out for Friday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Holmgren will miss a third straight game with a leg injury, and the Thunder will likely prioritize him being healthy for the postseason at this stage in the season. With Isaiah Hartenstein also out, Jaylin Williams will likely move into the starting lineup, and he’s worth streaming in deep leagues.
  • OKC Power Forward #7
Chet Holmgren (leg) is questionable to play against the Trail Blazers on Friday.
Holmgren sat out against Memphis on Wednesday, but there is a chance that he returns against Portland. However, OKC is resting most of their rotation in this game, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Holmgren remained out for another game. In that scenario, Jaylin Williams would likely move into the starting lineup.
  • OKC Point Guard #2
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (rest) and Jalen Williams (wrist) are out for Friday’s matchup with the Trail Blazers.
SGA has been on a monstrous run as of late, but he’ll take a breather against the Blazers. Williams will miss his first game in over a month, leaving OKC without its top two scorers. The team will also be without several other key players, which means Aaron Wiggins, Alex Caruso, Isaiah Joe and Jaylin Williams could see big minutes.
  • OKC Small Forward #13
Ousmane Dieng (wrist) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Spurs.
Dieng has missed Oklahoma City’s last four games, but his availability does not significantly impact the team’s rotation. Chet Holmgren (ankle) being out may free up a few minutes, but Jaylin Williams and Kenrich Williams are ahead of Dieng in the pecking order.
  • OKC Center #55
Isaiah Hartenstein (nose) is not on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.
Hartenstein suffered a facial contusion during Monday’s overtime loss to the Timberwolves and did not return after his third-quarter exit. With Chet Holmgren (rest) available, the Thunder will have their preferred frontcourt available for Wednesday’s game. Jaylin Williams, who played additional minutes with Hartenstein out, will see his playing time decrease.
