Jaylen Brown logged 38 minutes in Tuesday’s 118-106 win over the Nuggets, scoring 14 points (6-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, and eight assists.
Fantasy managers who have Brown rostered will take the rebounds and assists, but the scoring output took a hit. The good news is that he’s provided top-50 value in 8-cat formats over the past two weeks, an improvement compared to his season-long value. With his minimal defensive production, Brown doesn’t have much margin for error regarding overall fantasy value, especially in category leagues.

Jaylen Brown had a strong first half on Sunday and finished with 21 points (8-of-19 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer against the Thunder.
This was absolutely a tale of two halves for Brown, as he entered the break with 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Do those numbers look familiar. Well, that’s what he finished with. He played 19 minutes in the second half and contributed seven missed shots and two turnovers. That’s it. Brown was so effective before halftime, which makes his second half fall off so surprising. This was his first game back after a two-game absence with a shoulder strain, and his return pushed Sam Hauser (11 minutes) back to the bench. Brown will look to shake off the poor second half and get back on track in Denver on Tuesday, which will kick off a three-game week for them.

Jaylen Brown (right shoulder strain) is active for Sunday’s Celtics-Thunder game.
Brown is set to return from a two-game layoff to take part in a huge interconference matchup against OKC. The Celtics wing should bump Sam Hauser to the bench in his first game back.

Jaylen Brown (right shoulder strain) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Thunder.
Brown has missed Boston’s last two games, with Sam Hauser replacing him in the starting lineup. However, with Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford absent from the injury report, the latter will likely start (instead of Hauser) on Sunday if Brown remains out.

Jaylen Brown (right shoulder strain) is out for Friday’s game against the Rockets.
Brown is set to miss his second straight game with a shoulder injury. Sam Hauser started in Brown’s place Thursday against the Timberwolves and figures to do so again. Payton Pritchard will also see increased usage off the bench with Brown out, though he’s already rostered in most fantasy leagues.

Jaylen Brown (right shoulder strain) and Kristaps Porzingis (left ankle sprain) are listed as questionable for Friday’s Celtics-Rockets matchup.
Brown missed the Celtics’ last game while Porzingis has missed four consecutive games. Payton Pritchard will be asked to take on more offensive responsibility if Brown sits. Neemias Queta and Luke Kornet split backup center minutes at center.

Jaylen Brown (right shoulder strain) is out for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Brown will not play in Thursday’s game, freeing up a spot in the starting lineup. With Kristaps Porzingis also out, Sam Hauser is the player most likely to replace Brown in the starting lineup. He can provide points and 3-pointers in this role. Also worthy of increased fantasy attention with Brown out is Payton Pritchard, who’s already rostered in most standard leagues.

Jaylen Brown (right shoulder strain) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Brown played 25 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Raptors, but his playing time had more to do with the nature of the game (125-71, Celtics) than his shoulder. If Brown cannot play, Sam Hauser may move into the starting lineup alongside Jayson Tatum. Hauser can provide points and 3-pointers when allowed to start.

Jaylen Brown led Boston with 31 points (13-of-21 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in a 123-114 loss to Indiana on Sunday.
Brown wasn’t able to replicate his season-high 44 points from Friday’s game against the Pacers, but he was able to have another big scoring night. However, the difference was that it wasn’t enough for them to get a win. Brown still had an excellent night for fantasy managers, and he has been shooting the ball well over their last few games despite a slow start to the season. Brown has still been a great option in 9-cat leagues because he has improved in other areas, so if his shooting percentage continues to rise, his 9-cat value should skyrocket.

Jaylen Brown lit up Indiana with 44 points (16-of-24 FGs), five rebounds, three assists, four steals and six 3-pointers in a 142-105 win on Friday.
Brown got off to a hot start to this game and scored 15 points in the first quarter and 23 in the first half. He played a team-high 37 minutes in the blowout win, which was enough time for him to set a new season-high for scoring and have his first 40-point game since Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, which was also against the Pacers. It hasn’t been an efficient shooting season for Brown, so hopefully this can be a performance that he builds off of. They host Indiana again in their next game on Sunday.
