JaVale McGee (illness) is not on the injury report for Friday’s game against the Suns.
McGee was a late scratch for Thursday’s loss to the Pelicans, but his absence did not impact fantasy basketball or the Kings’ rotation. That will also be the case on Friday despite McGee’s clearance.

JaVale McGee (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Pelicans.
McGee will not be available for Thursday’s game, but this will not impact fantasy basketball. Alex Len has been ahead of JaVale in the pecking order, with both backing up Domantas Sabonis.

JaVale McGee (illness) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Pelicans.
McGee is a late addition to the injury report, which is never a good sign. His potential absence would not impact fantasy basketball, as he’s third on the Kings depth chart behind Domantas Sabonis and Alex Len.

Domantas Sabonis (illness) has been upgraded to questionable for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.
Things are trending in the right direction for Sabonis, who was listed as doubtful on the initial injury report. His absence would push JaVale McGee or Alex Len into the starting lineup, with reserve forward Trey Lyles also experiencing an increase in playing time. Of the three, Lyles would be the most valuable to fantasy managers if Sabonis cannot play.

Domantas Sabonis (illness) is officially doubtful for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.
After not participating in Wednesday’s practice, Sabonis is officially listed as doubtful for Thursday’s game. Should he sit, Alex Len and JaVale McGee will figure more prominently in the rotation. More minutes will also be available to Trey Lyles, who has the highest streaming upside of the three. Another player who would benefit is De’Aaron Fox, as even more playmaking responsibilities will fall upon his shoulders.

Domantas Sabonis (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.
Sabonis’ status for Thursday’s game against San Antonio is up in the air, but his absence from practice on Wednesday isn’t an encouraging sign. If he has to sit out, Trey Lyles, Alex Len and JaVale McGee will be the options down low. While they will all see larger roles than usual, on a 12-game day, there will likely be better options to stream in place of Sabonis.

JaVale McGee (right wrist irritation) is available for Friday’s game against the Suns.
Initially questionable for Friday’s game, McGee is officially available. However, with starting center Domantas Sabonis healthy, McGee is unlikely to get the minutes needed to be a factor in most fantasy leagues.

JaVale McGee (right wrist irritation) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Suns.
While starter Domantas Sabonis plays the lion’s share of the available minutes at center, losing McGee would put Sacramento in a tough spot regarding depth. Alex Len (ankle) remains sidelined so that no McGee could result in Trey Lyles logging a few minutes at center.
  • SAC Center #25
Alex Len (high right ankle sprain) to be sidelined six to eight weeks.
Len will be sidelined until January, which means that JaVale McGee should fill out the center minutes behind Domantas Sabonis. That doesn’t leave much of an opportunity to put up numbers, so McGee won’t be worth rostering in nearly any format.
  • SAC Power Forward #10
Domantas Sabonis shot 13-of-19 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over the Lakers, scoring 29 points with 16 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, one block, and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes.
Sabonis thoroughly dominated his matchup with Anthony Davis, recording a full stat line with his eighth double-double of the season. The All-Star center is still ranked outside the top 50 in 9-cat per-game value for the season, but his production has been within that threshold over the last week. And Sabonis helped the Kings make some franchise history, as three players tallied at least 25 points and five assists in the same game since the 1985-86 season. Just as notable for Sabonis managers were the minutes. The 39 minutes were one shy of his season-high, and this may be the norm until Alex Len is cleared to return from a high ankle sprain. JaVale McGee, who is now the backup center played nine minutes on Wednesday, finishing with seven points, six rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
