Jared Rhoden (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game against the Spurs.
Rhoden will remain out for Sunday’s season finale, the second straight game he’s missed with a shoulder injury. On a two-way contract, Rhoden only appeared in 16 games this season. Since he isn’t guaranteed a standard contract for next season, he should not be on draft boards next fall.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #8
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Mavericks on Friday.
Rhoden scored 23 points off the bench on Wednesday but won’t be available to build on that performance against Dallas. With RJ Barrett and Ja’Kobe Walter also sidelined, Jamison Battle and AJ Lawson should be in line for extended minutes.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett (rest) and Ja’Kobe Walter (hip) are out against the Mavericks on Friday.
Barrett and Walter will not be available on Friday. The latter will miss a second-straight game due to a hip injury. AJ Lawson and Jamison Battle will play more minutes, which would also be the case for Jared Rhoden (shoulder) if he’s allowed to suit up. Rhoden is questionable for Friday night.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #8
Jared Rhoden (shoulder) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Mavericks.
Rhoden’s had a few moments in which he’s been productive, most recently scoring 23 points in Wednesday’s win over the Hornets. With the Raptors sitting multiple rotation players, Rhoden may play extended minutes on Friday if he’s cleared. While a risky dice roll, he would be worth it in active fantasy leagues.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #8
Jared Rhoden had 23 points (8-of-12 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Rhoden came off the bench Wednesday, but in the last week of the regular season it’s not abnormal to see bench players receive starter-level minutes. The 25-year-old shooting guard had 23 points in 30 minutes as RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickly combined to play fewer minutes. It’s likely Rhoden will continue to play a lot in the Raptors’ remaining games.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #14
Ja’Kobe Walter (hip) has been ruled out against the Hornets on Wednesday.
The rookie has played well recently. Almost too well for Toronto’s liking. He’s listed as out with right hip flexor tightness, and his absence will open up minutes for AJ Lawson, Jamison Battle and Jared Rhoden.
  • TOR Small Forward #30
Ochai Agbaji (rest) and Jamal Shead (rest) have been ruled out against the Hornets on Wednesday.
Agbaji has been part of this resting cycle for a while, but this will be Shead’s first rest day. Apparently resting your second-round pick is acceptable now. Toronto’s rotation will continue to be messy, which means AJ Lawson and Jared Rhoden should see extra minutes with Agbaji and Shead out.
  • TOR Small Forward #9
RJ Barrett (rest) and Ochai Agbaji (rest) are not on the injury report against the Nets on Sunday.
After sitting out on Friday, both Barrett and Agbaji will be back in the lineup. Barrett will replace Jamison Battle in the starting unit, while Agbaji’s return will take away minutes from AJ Lawson and Jared Rhoden. The cyclical rest days should continue for Barrett and Agbaji for the rest of the season.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #8
Jared Rhoden (finger) is available to play against the Trail Blazers on Thursday.
This will be the second-straight game that Rhoden is available for, but he only played four minutes in their last game on Tuesday. His availability won’t have an impact on Toronto’s rotation.
  • TOR Small Forward #4
Scottie Barnes (finger) and Jared Rhoden (finger) are questionable for Thursday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Barnes is dealing with a finger joint contusion while Rhoden has a finger joint sprain. Barnes is the bigger loss if he’s out as Rhoden hasn’t been a consistent part of the Raptors’ rotation. Rhoden could be in line for a decent workload Thursday if he’s available given all the injuries Toronto is dealing with.
