  • ORL Small Forward #2
The Orlando Magic have acquired the rights to 2013 second-round pick Janis Timma in a trade with the Grizzlies.
Timma is a 6'7" Latvian forward who was selected with the final pick of the 2013 draft, but he isn’t expected to come to the NBA any time soon. The Magic were likely going to Waive Ridnour before his contract was guaranteed for the 2015-16 season on July 11, so the move makes some sense.

Janis Timma will play in Russia next season.
He was acquired in the one of many Luke Ridnour deals of the past week. Timma could remain overseas for a few seasons.

With the final pick of the 2013 NBA draft, the Grizzlies chose Latvian SF Janis Timma.
Timma is a solid prospect for the Grizzlies to stash overseas. His 6'7" frame and athleticism give him nice upside, but he’s too raw to make the jump to the NBA any time soon.
