  • TOR Shooting Guard #33
Gary Trent Jr. (lower back stiffness) is probable for Saturday’s matchup with the Wizards, while Immanuel Quickley (personal) and D.J. Carton (right ankle sprain) are sidelined.
GTJ sat out Friday, but it looks like he’s poised to return for the second game of Toronto’s back-to-back set. Quickley and Carton both remain without timelines to return, and they’re among a handful of notable absences, including RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl and Scottie Barnes.
  • TOR Center #19
Jakob Poeltl underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left pinky finger and is considered out indefinitely.
There is certainly a chance that Poeltl is done for the season, which means that Kelly Olynyk should be rostered everywhere. Olynyk moved into the starting unit on Tuesday and delivered a 15/6/7/2/2 line in 28 minutes. There’s no reason to think that Poeltl won’t be 100% healthy long before training camp next season.

Jakob Poeltl (dislocated left pinkie finger) will visit with a specialist and is without a timeline for return.
Poeltl injured his finger during Sunday’s win over Toronto, one of two Raptors starters to exit with hand or finger injuries. The 7-foot-1 center being sidelined means a move into the starting lineup for Kelly Olynyk, who needs to be rostered in all standard leagues.

Jakob Poeltl (dislocated left pinkie finger) has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Pelicans.
Poeltl injured his finger during the first half of Sunday’s win over the Hornets, with Kelly Olynyk filling the void to begin the third quarter. Olynyk, who was already a popular streaming target due to Scottie Barnes’ fractured finger, should be rostered in standard leagues, at a minimum.

Jakob Poeltl (dislocated left pinkie finger) will not return to Sunday’s game against the Hornets.
Poeltl dislocated his finger during the second quarter, exiting during the period’s final minute. Kelly Olynyk started the second half and was already a trendy name in fantasy basketball due to Scottie Barnes suffering a fractured finger on Friday. At a minimum, Olynyk should be rostered in standard leagues.

Jakob Poeltl posted a full line on Wednesday with 16 points (7-of-12 FGs), seven rebounds, six assists, four steals and three blocks against Dallas.
Poeltl was questionable for this game after exiting early from their last one due to an ankle injury. However, he was able to suit up and post a full line. Kelly Olynyk didn’t get the spot start that managers were clamoring for, but he was still able to score 13 points in 18 minutes off the bench. Toronto doesn’t play a back-to-back until March 22nd and 23rd, so there is no reason to think that Poeltl will miss more time with this ankle injury. He is currently averaging 12.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.0 blocks since the All-Star break and will look to keep up the well-rounded production against the Warriors on Friday.

Jakob Poeltl (left ankle sprain) will play against Dallas on Wednesday.
Poeltl was listed as questionable after exiting early from Monday’s game. However, he will be available to play, which means that Kelly Olynyk will not make a move into the starting unit. He won’t have much streaming value in this game.

Jakob Poeltl (left ankle sprain) participated in pregame shootaround on Wednesday.
Poeltl remains questionable for Wednesday’s matchup with the Mavericks, but his participation in shootaround is a positive. He sprained his left ankle in early January, missing more than three weeks of game action. Being considered questionable after injuring the same ankle during Monday’s win over the Pacers could be a sign that this injury isn’t as severe. Should Poeltl miss time, Kelly Olynyk would figure more prominently within the rotation, likely as a starter.

Jakob Poeltl (left ankle sprain) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Mavericks.
Poeltl injured his ankle during the third quarter of Monday’s win over the Pacers and did not return. A prior sprain of his left ankle in early January cost him more than three weeks, so the questionable tag is encouraging. Should Poeltl not play on Wednesday, Kelly Olynyk would move into the starting lineup, and he is worth streaming in that role.

Jakob Poeltl (left ankle sprain) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday’s game against the Pacers.
Poeltl injured his ankle during the third quarter of Monday’s game and has since been ruled out. Kelly Olynyk will absorb the minutes that would have gone to the Raptors’ starting center. The concern is that Poeltl sprained the same ankle in January, missing more than three weeks. Should he miss time, Olynyk is the player to add.
