Derrick White (right foot sprain), Jayson Tatum (right patella tendinopathy) and Jaylen Brown (illness) are all questionable for Monday’s matchup with Miami.
White’s availability is of special interest in Monday’s matchup, as Jrue Holiday (left knee tendinopathy) is sidelined. Boston’s injury report looks like the team is punting on the second leg of a back-to-back set, and if White, Tatum or Brown are out, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser would be the next men up. If all three starters are out, expect Boston to go deep down the bench to the likes of Jaden Springer and Jordan Walsh.
  • BOS Shooting Guard #44
Jaden Springer (left knee tendinopathy) is available for Saturday’s game against Toronto.
Springer’s clearance coincides with Jrue Holiday (knee) being ruled out, so there may be a few minutes available on the back end of the rotation. However, that isn’t enough to make Springer a player worth rostering in fantasy leagues.
  • BOS Point Guard #4
Jrue Holiday (left knee tendinopathy) and Jaden Springer (left knee tendinopathy) are questionable for Saturday’s game against the Raptors.
While Holiday is a new addition to the injury report, Springer has not appeared in a game since November 4. The availability of the former is far more impactful, with Payton Pritchard in line for more opportunities if Holiday cannot play. Springer’s status will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • BOS Shooting Guard #44
Jaden Springer (left knee tendinopathy) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Hawks.
Springer will miss a second straight game, but his continued absence does not impact fantasy basketball. He’s averaged 4.0 minutes per game in four appearances this season.
  • BOS Shooting Guard #44
Jaden Springer (left knee tendinopathy) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Hawks.
Springer may miss a second straight game, but he hasn’t been part of the team’s rotation when healthy. This won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • BOS Shooting Guard #44
Jaden Springer (left knee tendinopathy) is out for Sunday’s game against Milwaukee.
Initially questionable for Sunday’s game, Springer will not play against the Bucks. His absence will not impact fantasy basketball or the Celtics’ rotation, especially with Jaylen Brown (hip) returning to the court.
  • BOS Center #40
Luke Kornet (right hamstring tightness) and Jaden Springer ( left knee tendinopathy) are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Injured during Wednesday’s loss to the Warriors, Kornet did not play against the Nets on Friday. While Xavier Tillman moved into the starting lineup, Neemias Queta played 27 minutes off the bench to Tillman’s six. Queta will lose some playing time if Kornet plays. As for Springer, his availability does not impact fantasy basketball.
  • BOS Shooting Guard #44
Jaden Springer finished Saturday’s loss to the Heat with 23 points (8-of-15 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, six assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
After failing to crack the Celtics rotation after being acquired at the February trade deadline, Springer aims to change that in 2024-25. The 2021 first-round pick played well on Saturday, leading the Celtics in scoring while dishing out six assists without committing a turnover. The Celtics have starters Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, and backup Payton Pritchard has also earned his opportunities. The path to a rotation spot won’t be easy for Springer to travel, but days like Saturday will help.
  • BOS Shooting Guard #44
The Celtics will start Payton Pritchard, Jaden Springer, Svi Mykhailiuk, Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet against Charlotte on Friday.
With two games left in the regular season, Boston is finally deciding to fully rest their core six stars. It will be a completely new starting unit, with everyone available playing big minutes.
  • BOS Small Forward #7
Jaylen Brown (left hand sprain) and Jaden Springer (left knee tendinopathy) are available for Sunday’s game against Portland.
Brown and Springer have been upgraded from probable to available, with the former occupying his usual place in the starting lineup. The Celtics are without Jayson Tatum (knee), so Brown can fill that void. As for Springer, his return will not impact fantasy basketball.
