Jaden McDaniels tallied five points (2-of-13 FGs), five rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s Game 5 loss to the Thunder.
McDaniels had a brutal night in Oklahoma City, shooting 2-of-13 from the field in an unfortunate end to his season. The finish will take away from what was a productive season for the Timberwolves wing, who exceeded his Yahoo! ADP (142) and provided top-100 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. McDaniels finished the regular season with career-high averages in points, rebounds, assists and steals while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 81.3 percent from the foul line. At a minimum, he should be a safe top-100 pick in standard league drafts in the fall.

Jaden McDaniels shot 9-of-15 from the field and 1-of-1 from the foul line in Monday’s Game 4 loss to the Thunder, tallying 22 points, four rebounds, two assists, four steals, one block and three three-pointers.
With Julius Randle limited to five points on 1-of-7 shooting and Anthony Edwards getting off to a slow start, Minnesota needed more production from its “others” in Game 4. McDaniels was one of the players who answered the call, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and recording a complete stat line. Despite being asked to serve as the primary defender of league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, McDaniels has scored 22 points in two of the last three games in this series. The Timberwolves will need a similar effort in Wednesday’s Game 5 to keep their season alive.

Jaden McDaniels accounted for 22 points (8-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, three blocks and four three-pointers in Thursday’s Game 2 loss to the Thunder.
McDaniels has taken on the unenviable task of defending Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and his emotions got the best of him late in Game 2. The Timberwolves forward was whistled for a flagrant foul after shoving SGA to the floor, but that does not tell the whole story of McDaniels’ night. After scoring seven points in the series opener, he more than tripled that number on Thursday, shooting over 50 percent from the field. McDaniels can undoubtedly be productive as a scorer, but expecting 20-plus points per night while also having to defend a player of Gilgeous-Alexander’s caliber is a lot to ask. Game 3 is on Saturday night in Minneapolis.

Jaden McDaniels accumulated 16 points (6-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in 38 minutes in Sunday’s Game 4 win over the Lakers.
With Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle handling most of the scoring, McDaniels was valuable on both ends of the floor in Game 4. In addition to the double-double, he took on the challenge of defending Luka Doncic for most of Sunday’s victory. While Doncic got his numbers, he was made to work for them, which is all you can ask when defending a player of his caliber. McDaniels and the Timberwolves now lead three games to one, with Game 5 scheduled for Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Jaden McDaniels had 30 points (13-of-22 FGs), five rebounds, one assist, two steals and one three-pointer against the Lakers in Game 3 on Friday.
McDaniels led the Timberwolves in scoring for the second time in the series. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence, but each time he’s led the team in scoring, they’ve won the game. McDaniels made just one three-pointer, but was 12-of-17 on two-point attempts and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. While McDaniels scored at least 20 points just 12 times in the regular season, he’s thrived so far in the highly competitive playoff environment. We’ll see if the Lakers defense adjusts or McDaniels turns back to his regular season form in Game 4 Sunday.

Jaden McDaniels finished Saturday’s Game 1 win over the Lakers with 25 points (11-of-13 FGs), nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and three three-pointers in 33 minutes.
McDaniels’ aggressiveness on the offensive end was one of the key factors in Minnesota’s Game 1 victory. He didn’t hesitate to make plays on that end of the floor, and the result was a highly efficient outing in Los Angeles. McDaniels scored 20 points or more 12 times during the regular season, most recently doing so in a March 16 win over the Jazz. Nights like Saturday have not been the norm for Jaden, so it would be unsurprising if his production took a hit in Game 2 on Tuesday. However, his performance in Game 1 has given the Lakers something to think about when they draw up their defensive game plan for Tuesday.

Jaden McDaniels scored 20 points (8-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with 12 rebounds, two assists, a steal, two blocks, and two three-pointers against the Jazz on Sunday.
McDaniels has scored at least 10 points in every game he’s played in since February. The two-way wing is rebounding well and has posted 1.8 and 1.1 blocks per game in March. He’ll look to keep up his prowess on both ends against the Pacers on Monday.

Jaden McDaniels finished Friday’s win over the Magic with 11 points (4-of-6 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, two assists, three steals, two blocks and two three-pointers in 32 minutes.
McDaniels has reached double figures in scoring in 20 straight games, sustaining the momentum gained when the Timberwolves played without Julius Randle. Jaden may not hit 20 points consistently, but the scoring output hasn’t fallen off a cliff. Add the defensive numbers, and McDaniels has been a second-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. He’s rostered in 68 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and 10-team managers needing defensive stats should consider adding McDaniels ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jazz.

Jaden McDaniels had 29 points (13-of-21 FGs), 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three three-pointers against the Hornets on Wednesday.
McDaniels breakout season continued Wednesday as the 24-year-old power forward had another big game. McDaniels’ 29 points were tied with Anthony Edwards for a team-high. He also had 10 rebounds to earn himself a double-double and contributed two steals on the defensive end. McDaniels ranks inside the top-25 in fantasy value over the last two months.

Jaden McDaniels turned in a full line on Tuesday with 17 points (7-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, two steals, four blocks and one three-pointer against the 76ers.
McDaniels has finally enjoyed a breakout statistical season in Minnesota, and he has turned into a fantasy star over the past two months. He ranks inside the top 25 in nine-cat value during that stretch, and the main recent for his improvement has been that he is finally contributing defense stats. He has long been considered one of the best defensive players in the NBA, but it doesn’t mean as much to fantasy managers if the steals and blocks don’t come along with it. Minnesota had three more games this week, with a matchup in Charlotte on Wednesday up next.
