The Grizzlies waived Josh Christopher and Isaiah Todd on Saturday to make room for Mychal Mulder and Matthew Hurt.
Christopher and Todd were sent to Memphis in the deals that sent out Dillon Brooks and Tyus Jones. They were longshots to be part of the Grizzlies’ rotation, and they’ll now have the chance to sign two-ways for different teams. Mulder and Hurt’s deals weren’t disclosed by the team, but they are likely just training camp invites on Exhibit 10 deals. Both will likely end up with the Memphis Hustle.

The Grizzlies are trading three second-round picks to the Suns in exchange for first-round pick swaps in 2024 and 2030 and Isaiah Todd, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Memphis will have the right to swap their first for the less favorable first-round pick between the Suns and Wizards in those years, since Washington will get the more favorable from the Bradley Beal trade. Todd heads to Memphis, but he’ll likely spend the majority of his time in the G-League.

The Washington Wizards will also be sending Isaiah Todd to the Suns as part of the Bradley Beal trade, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
More details surrounding the blockbuster Beal trade continue to come out. Isaiah Todd will be joining Jordan Goodwin as part of the throw-ins to the trade. Todd, the 31st pick in the 2021 draft has spent a majority of his two seasons playing for the Wizards’ G-League affiliate.

Xavier Cooks recorded a double-double on Sunday with 10 points (5-for-11 FGs), 14 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a 114-109 loss to Houston.
Cooks signed with Washington in early March, and he’s gotten to play big minutes over their last few games with the Wizards focused on the lottery. He set a career-high for rebounding, while tying his scoring career-high with 10 points, which he set in their previous game. Jordan Goodwin led the way with 22 points, five rebounds and five assists. Johnny Davis (4-for-20) and Isaiah Tood (2-for-13) both struggled mightily from the field as starters, but Davis added six rebounds, eight assists and two steals, while Todd hauled in 12 boards in his first career start. Quenton Jackson also added 19 points off the bench. Washington will look to get back to the postseason next year, though they’ll need good moves this summer and some injury luck to have a chance.

The Wizards will start Jordan Goodwin, Jordan Davis, Corey Kispert, Isaiah Todd and Xavier Cooks against Houston on Sunday.
Todd and Cooks will get their first career start in game 82 for the Wizards. They’ll be without the majority of their veterans and usual rotation pieces, so plenty of guys will play big minutes that have spent most of the season on the bench.

  • FA Power Forward #14
Isaiah Todd (right heel pain) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Magic.
He was dealing with a heel issue but last played on January 7, however he only played four minutes and isn’t someone to consider for fantasy hoops.

  • FA Power Forward #14
Isaiah Todd (right heel pain) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the 76ers.
Todd, a second-round draft pick this past summer, has only appeared in five games this season. With the Wizards being fine with regard to interior depth, he won’t be in the rotation if given the all-clear. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Isaiah Todd (right toe contusion) will not play in Wednesday’s game against Minnesota.
Todd is nowhere near the fantasy radar. Continue on with your day.

  • FA Power Forward #14
The Wizards have signed second-round pick Isaiah Todd to a four-year, $7 million contract.
The Wiz nabbed Todd with the 31st overall selection in last month’s draft. Todd spent last season in the G League, where he averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 24 minutes per contest while shooting 36.2% from downtown and 82.4% from the free-throw line. He’s still raw and unlikely to pop up on the fantasy radar in 2021-22. Per Shams, the first three years of Todd’s deal are guaranteed.

  • FA Power Forward #14
With the No. 31 pick in draft, the Wizards selected G League PF Isaiah Todd.
This pick came to the Wizards via the Pacers in the deal sending Aaron Holiday to Washington. Entering his sophomore season of high school, Todd was ranked as the number one recruit in the 2020 class by ESPN. He was still a top-15 overall prospect by the time he graduated, but opted to forgo his college eligibility and spent last season with the G League Ignite. He averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 24 minutes per game in his lone G-League season, while shooting 36.2% from 2-point territory and 82.4% from the stripe. At 6’10”, he projects a stretch big with plenty of enticing potential.
