  • IND Center #13
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that James Wiseman has agreed to a two-year deal with the Pacers.
Wiseman will join his fourth team since being selected No. 2 in 2020. He’ll provide depth behind Myles Turner and will scrap for minutes with Isaiah Jackson. Wiseman could get a slight boost in fantasy value if he’s able to secure the top backup spot behind Turner, but he’s a deep-league dart-throw at best. Detroit’s center depth consists of Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart, which means that unless the Pistons make a move for another big man, Beef Stew should play more minutes at the five in 2024-25. That could lead to more rebounds and a higher FG%.
  • CHI Power Forward #25
Jalen Smith has agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal with the Bulls, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Smith makes the move within the division after spending a few seasons with the Pacers. He’ll replace Andre Drummond as the backup center, though he won’t be the elite streaming option that Drummond was whenever Nikola Vucevic was out. However, this is good value for the Bulls, and Smith is still a former top-10 pick that is only 24 years old. In Indiana, Smith’s departure clears the runway for Isaiah Jackson to be the primary backup center behind Myles Turner.

Jalen Smith (left ankle sprain), Obi Toppin (left ankle sprain), and Isaiah Jackson (left hamstring strain) are available for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
With Smith, Toppin, and Jackson available, the Pacers will have their entire rotation at the power forward and center positions. The impact of these players depends on how much starters Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner play, with Smith offering the highest potential among the reserves. Indiana can finish anywhere from fifth to eighth in the East, so there’s plenty to play for on Sunday.
  • IND Power Forward #25
Jalen Smith (left ankle sprain), Obi Toppin (left ankle sprain), and Isaiah Jackson (left hamstring strain) are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
While Jackson has missed two of Indiana’s last three games, Smith and Toppin were part of the bench rotation for Friday’s loss to the Cavaliers. Toppin exited after playing 16 minutes, hence his presence on the injury report. With Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner healthy, the statuses of Smith, Toppin, and Jackson will not significantly impact fantasy basketball.
  • IND Power Forward #22
Isaiah Jackson (left hamstring strain) is out for Friday’s game against Cleveland.
Jackson’s absence leaves the Pacers with two options at the center position and not three, with Myles Turner and Jalen Smith being those players. Obi Toppin can help fill the void in case of foul trouble, as the Pacers need to match up with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.
  • IND Power Forward #22
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Isaiah Jackson (left hamstring strain) is unlikely to play in Friday’s game against Cleveland.
Jackson was initially questionable for Friday’s game, but it is unlikely that he’ll play. Myles Turner and Jalen Smith are healthy and available, so the Pacers have enough to account for Jackson’s expected absence.
  • IND Power Forward #22
Isaiah Jackson (left hamstring strain) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Jackson’s status will not significantly impact fantasy basketball, as starter Myles Turner and primary backup Jalen Smith are absent from the Pacers’ injury report.
  • IND Power Forward #25
Jalen Smith (left ankle sprain) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Smith was considered questionable to return to Friday’s win over Oklahoma City but never did. While Isaiah Jackson experienced an uptick in playing time, the same can be said for Obi Toppin, as the Pacers also played small at times. Jackson offers solid fantasy upside if Smith cannot play on Sunday, but deep-league managers should not overlook Toppin.
  • IND Power Forward #25
Jalen Smith (left ankle sprain) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Thunder.
Smith played 13 minutes before spraining his ankle, accounting for 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists. If he’s unable to return, more minutes will be available for Isaiah Jackson as Myles Turner’s backup.
  • IND Center #33
Myles Turner (right finger sprain) is available for Friday’s game against the Thunder.
After sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Nets, Turner is back in the lineup. Jalen Smith will return to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a significant hit, while Isaiah Jackson could be out of the rotation entirely.
