Dwayne Jones has made the Cavaliers team as a non-guaranteed invite and is likely to be on the opening-night roster.
Hassan Adams and Darius Rice were waived on Saturday, and Noel Felix and Anthony Tolliver remains on the roster as practice players.
  • LAC Small Forward
The Nets announced late Saturday that they had requested waivers on guard Hassan Adams.
Adams, who played at Arizona, was the 54th selection in the 2006 NBA draft. He played in 61 games for the Nets, averaging 2.9 points and 1.3 rebounds.
  • LAC Small Forward
The Nets, looking to avoid paying luxury tax, are expected to waive Hassan Adams Saturday, according to league sources.
Adams’ salary of $687,500 would become guaranteed if he remains on the roster past Sunday. Adams, who appeared in 61 games as a rookie last season, supplied nice energy off the bench. He averaged 2.9 PPG and shot 55.6 percent from the field.
  • DET Point Guard #81
The Raptors and GM Bryan Colangelo are close to having their roster set for the upcoming season after reaching tentative agreements with three players.
Colangelo got point guard Jose Calderon locked up to a long-term contract and signed guards Roko Ukic and Hassan Adams to deals, all of which can be officially completed on July 9. The terms of Calderon’s deal have yet to be disclosed, but it’s believed he’ll make about $8 million per season to stay with the team. And with T.J. Ford now out of the picture, Calderon should be an excellent fantasy point guard next season.
  • LAC Small Forward
The Toronto Raptors signed free-agent swingman Hassan Adams to a two-year contract Tuesday.
Per team policy, financial details were not disclosed. Adams played in Italy last season where he averaged 20.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.0 steals in 12 games. Adams last played for the Nets in the NBA, but isn’t expected to have fantasy value this season.
  • LAC Small Forward
Hassan Adams came off the bench for 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting in Sunday’s preseason game.
We don’t think he has any fantasy value, but he might be worth keeping an eye on in your league once the season starts.
  • LAC Small Forward
Little used Hassan Adams had 16 points and eight rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting for the Nets on Wednesday.
He had only scored more than three points in one game this season, so we’re guessing he just go hot. There’s no reason to pick him up, even in deep leagues.
  • LAC Small Forward
The Raptors have traded Hassan Adams and cash considerations to the Clippers for a second-round pick.
This is a salary cap move for the Raptors, and for the Clippers Adams represents a player who’s at least healthy enough to play. It’s unlikely Adams will have any fantasy value in L.A., but then again, Mardy Collins has value in injury-plagued L.A. right now, so crazier things have happened.
  • LAC Small Forward
The Nets still have one player to sign, and Hassan Adams’ contract will probably get done sometime next week.
He’s currently dealing with a foot injury that may not allow him to pass a physical, but it sounds like a deal will get done when he’s healthy. He’ll have no fantasy value this season.
  • LAC Small Forward
Second-round draft pick guard Hassan Adams signed with the Nets on Wednesday after passing a physical on his recently broken right foot.
The Arizona product was the 54th pick overall in the NBA draft and averaged 17.5 points and almost five rebounds last season. He is the only player in Pac-10 history to record 1,800 points, 700 rebounds and 200 steals in a career.
