The Wizards have signed Hamidou Diallo to a 10-day contract.
Diallo, who finished the 2022-23 campaign with the Pistons, has been playing for the Wizards’ G League affiliate this season. In 20 games, he’s averaged 18.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 52% from the field. Diallo is not worth adding in fantasy leagues.
  • FA Shooting Guard #6
Hamidou Diallo was diagnosed with a Grade 2 right ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks, essentially ending his season.
In the wake of so many Pistons’ injuries, Hamidilly had taken on an expanded role as of late, and he’d been turning in some useful performances. With him sidelined, Detroit’s roster is even thinner, which could mean some seriously silly minutes or RJ Hampton down the stretch.

  • FA Shooting Guard #6
Hamidou Diallo (right ankle sprain) is listed as out for Tuesday against the Wizards.
Diallo left Monday’s game in the fourth quarter and was seen in a walking boot after the game, so his absence Tuesday was all but guaranteed. Before Monday Diallo had scored in double figures in eight straight games. R.J. Hampton should receive an increased workload in Diallo’s place.

  • FA Shooting Guard #6
Hamidou Diallo left Monday’s 110-104 loss to the Trail Blazers during the fourth quarter with an apparent right lower leg injury.
Diallo was defending when the injury occurred, immediately motioning to the bench for a sub while sitting on the court. Unable to put any weight on his right leg when being helped back to the locker room, Diallo was seen after the game with his foot in a walking boot. He played 27 minutes in Monday’s loss, tallying nine points, eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Detroit hosts Washington on Tuesday, so fantasy managers should plan for the likelihood that Diallo doesn’t play.

  • Small Forward #12
Isaiah Livers shot 7-of-12 from the field in Monday’s 110-104 loss to the Blazers, recording a line of 17 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three 3-pointers in 39 minutes.
Making his third straight start, Livers established a new season-high with 17 points. He’s been starting for the injured Bojan Bogdanovic (Achilles), and Livers could have value even after the veteran starter returns. Hamidou Diallo (nine points, eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 27 minutes) suffered a lower right leg injury during the fourth quarter and was unable to put any weight on it as he was helped off the court. While Eugene Omoruyi picked up a few rotation minutes after Diallo left, Livers stands to pick up even more playing time if the injury is severe in nature. After the game, Diallo was seen with his right foot in a walking boot.

  • FA Point Guard #4
Due to a left hand contusion, Killian Hayes has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Injured during Saturday’s loss to the Cavaliers, Hayes will miss at least one game. Cory Joseph and Alec Burks appear to be the most likely options to step into the starting lineup, with Burks being the far better option for fantasy managers needing a streamer. Hamidou Diallo is another player who would be worth targeting, given how shorthanded the Pistons will be.

  • BKN Small Forward #44
Bojan Bogdanovic (bilateral Achilles soreness) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Bogdanovic is back on the Pistons’ lengthy injury list, with soreness in both Achilles’ tendons again the issue. His absence will increase the fantasy values of Isaiah Livers and Hamidou Diallo, with the former likely moving into the starting lineup. Both players are worth streaming due to how shorthanded the Pistons will be.

  • FA Shooting Guard #6
Hamidou Diallo shot 7-of-13 from the field in Saturday’s 114-87 loss to the Cavaliers, accumulating 14 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one blocked shot in 27 minutes.
Diallo produced another solid performance off the bench, extending his streak of games in double figures to eight. While the athletic wing doesn’t provide 3-point shooting, he’s worthy of a look in deeper leagues, especially with Killian Hayes exiting during the third quarter with a left hand injury. Rostered in 12% of Yahoo leagues, Diallo’s been a 12th-round player in 9-cat formats over the last week. Detroit, which was without Alec Burks, will play four games in Week 20, which is another reason to kick the proverbial tires on Diallo.

  • MIA Shooting Guard #18
Alec Burks is out for Saturday’s matchup with Cleveland due to left foot soreness.
The score-first guard will be forced to sit this one out, leaving more minutes available for Hamidou Diallo off the bench. Diallo has averaged 15.3 points per game across his last seven appearances, but he’s best deployed in points formats, since he offers very little in the way of peripheral stats.

  • FA Shooting Guard #6
Hamidou Diallo shot 7-of-13 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 117-115 loss to the Bulls, scoring 19 points with one rebound and one assist in 29 minutes.
Diallo was Detroit’s high scorer off the bench, but he offered little else to the few who have him rostered. He’s been a 13th-round player in 9-cat formats over the last two weeks, but Alec Burks (11 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 18 minutes) remains the better deep-league option. With the Pistons only playing one more game this week, there’s no need to add Diallo or Burks in the aftermath of these performances.
