Zach Collins is questionable for Tuesday’s tilt with Phoenix due to a left fifth finger cut.
There’s a good chance Collins cut his finger while reading through a printout of the Spurs’ comically long injury list, and he’s in danger of sitting out Tuesday against Phoenix. If that’s the case, Sandro Mamukelashvili would likely be in line for another start, making Sandy M a worthwhile streaming option. Gorgui Dieng could log a few extra minutes off the bench, but he’s not worth streaming here.

  • SAS Center #41
Gorgui Dieng played 17 minutes in Friday’s 130-115 loss to the Warriors, accounting for 14 points (5-of-6 FGs), nine rebounds, two assists, and four 3-pointers.
The Spurs were without Zach Collins (foot) for Friday’s game, and his absence opened up rotation minutes for Dieng. The 14 points and four 3-pointers are both season-highs for the veteran center, who hadn’t even reached double figures in scoring before Friday night. As good as Dieng was, Friday’s performance does not make him a worthwhile streamer when Collins sits. Sandro Mamukelashvili is the better choice, and he finished Friday’s defeat with a full stat line of 13 rebounds, 11 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 29 minutes. Should Collins remain sidelined for Sunday’s game in Sacramento, Mamu would make for a solid streaming choice despite that being a 13-game day.

Zach Collins (left foot injury management) and Jeremy Sochan (right knee soreness) will miss Friday’s matchup with the Warriors.
With both players ruled out and San Antonio dealing with multiple key injuries, expect Sandro Mamukelashvili and Gorgui Dieng to see additional minutes, with Sandy M the preferred streaming option.

  • SAS Power Forward #10
Jeremy Sochan has been ruled out for Tuesday’s matchup with New Orleans due to right knee soreness.
Sochan has missed every other game for the last two weeks, but he’ll be sidelined for a second straight contest Tuesday. Doug McDermott (hip), Sandro Mamukelashvili and Gorgui Dieng should all see more playing time. as Zach Collins and Charles Bassey will both be out for this one as well.

  • Sandro Mamukelashvili accounted for 10 points (4-of-13 FGs), seven rebounds, two assists, and two 3-pointers in Wednesday’s 137-128 overtime loss to the Mavericks.
Mamu made his first start since being signed by the Spurs, and he got off to a slow start offensively. He made both of his shot attempts in the fourth quarter, two 3-pointers that pushed him into double figures. The absences of Zach Collins and Charles Bassey (who’s done for the season) freed up minutes for Mamukelashvili, Dominick Barlow (6/4/1/2/1 in 22 minutes), and Gorgui Dieng (2/5/3/0/2 in 16 minutes). None proved to be a great streamer Wednesday night, but Mamu and Barlow will still be in the rotation when Collins returns for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.

  • SAS Center #28
Charles Bassey is expected to be sidelined for the rest of the season after being diagnosed with a left patella fracture on Wednesday.
Bassey injured his leg on Tuesday night, and the initial diagnosis would be that he would be done for the rest of the season. The team confirmed the report on Wednesday, which means Zach Collins and Khem Birch should play the majority of the minutes at center for the rest of the season. Both of those guys will miss Wednesday’s game, so Gorgui Dieng should step into big minutes.

Zach Collins (left ankle injury management) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s matchup with Dallas.
Collins will sit out the second night of a back-to-back to nurse an ankle issue that has plagued him all season. With Charles Bassey and Khem Birch also out, Gorgui Dieng will have to play big minutes in this game, and the Spurs will have to use a small-ball lineup when he isn’t on the floor, due to the lack of available centers on the roster.

Gorgui Dieng signed a 10-day contract with the Spurs on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Dieng was just waived by the Spurs three days ago after spending the first two months of the season with them. He’ll return to the bench role he was playing. He saw a start earlier in the season, but with Zach Collins healthy and backing up Jakob Poeltl, Dieng won’t provide any value in fantasy hoops.

The Spurs waived Gorgui Dieng on Thursday to clear a roster spot to make a trade with the Celtics for Noah Vonleh and cash, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Dieng was waived to clear a roster spot, so that the Spurs could trade for Vonleh, who they also waived. Since cash considerations won’t be qualifying for the top-150 in 9-Cat rankings this season, there isn’t a clear fantasy winner from this deal, since neither Dieng nor Vonleh played a large role for their previous teams.

  • NBA Power Forward #4
Noah Vonleh has been traded to the Spurs along with cash, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
In a move that won’t impact fantasy whatsoever, Vonleh, who has played sparingly since the first few games of the season, ends up as a free agent. He can sign with another contending team, but he won’t find one with a large enough need for his services that he becomes a contributor in fantasy hoops. The Spurs waived Gorgui Dieng to make room for the trade, so both the Celtics and Spurs cleared a roster spot with this move.
