Dennis Schroder and Draymond Green will be in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Schroder will start in his Warriors debut, likely bouncing Buddy Hield to the bench. While Hield can provide points and 3-pointers, the overall fantasy value has been limited. As for Green, he returns to the starting lineup after coming off the bench as recently as Sunday’s loss to the Mavericks. Kevon Looney will head to the bench, losing what little fantasy value he had as a starter.
  • GSW Small Forward #4
Moses Moody (left patellar tendinopathy) missed practice on Tuesday and is doubtful to play on Thursday against Memphis.
Moody is expected to miss a third straight game, but he played less than 10 minutes in the two games prior to this absence. Steve Kerr has no problem changing his rotation, but at this point, Moody’s status won’t impact fantasy hoops much. Gary Payton II and Lindy Waters III may see a few extra minutes.
  • GSW Small Forward #22
Andrew Wiggins had 29 points (11-of-20 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers against the Mavericks on Sunday.
Wiggins missed two games with a right ankle impingement, but didn’t miss a beat as he had one of his top scoring games of the year. He poured in 29 points and five 3-pointers to lead the Warriors in scoring. It was a surprising performance as it wasn’t clear if Wiggins would start or have a minutes restriction upon returning from injury. He put any concerns to rest with a huge night against the Mavericks Sunday.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry had 26 points (9-of-19 FGs), five rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and seven 3-pointers against the Mavericks on Sunday.
Curry had a double-double and made 7-of-13 attempts from behind the 3-point line. Still, his game wasn’t without faults as he scored 26 points on 19 shots, had two turnovers and was -10 in 35 minutes in the 10-point loss. Ultimately, the 26 points were a positive as his recent lack of scoring had dropped him out of the top-50 fantasy players in the last two weeks.
  • GSW Center #5
Stephen Curry, Buddy Hield, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and Kevon Looney will start Sunday’s game against Dallas.
Wiggins is back after a two-game absence with an ankle injury, and his return pushes Gary Payton II to the bench. The other change is Looney, who replaces Draymond Green in the starting lineup. Green will still play plenty, and this lineup change will likely negatively impact Trayce Jackson-Davis more.
  • GSW Small Forward #22
Andrew Wiggins (right ankle impingement) is available for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Wiggins is back in the lineup after missing two straight games with a right ankle injury. His return should push Gary Payton II to the bench, which will not significantly impact fantasy basketball. GPII is more valuable to the Warriors than fantasy managers.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry (right cervical facet inflammation) is available for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Curry was originally questionable with a neck injury, but will suit up for this one. He’s missed five games on the season. It’s possible that facing Klay Thompson and the Mavericks gave him some extra motivation to play in this one.
  • GSW Point Guard #17
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Warriors are acquiring Dennis Schroder and a future second-round pick from the Nets.
The Warriors need backcourt help, and Schroder fits the bill. He’s been excellent this season, averaging 18.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.5 3-pointers per game. Schroder gives the Warriors another perimeter playmaker who can create for himself and others, an attribute that has been lacking. To acquire Schroder, the Warriors have sent De’Anthony Melton and three second-round picks to Brooklyn.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry (right cervical facet inflammation) is questionable for Sunday’s game against Dallas.
Curry has missed five games this season, most recently sitting out the Warriors’ December 5 win over the Rockets. His absence would significantly impact the rotation, with Buddy Hield and Brandin Podziemski taking on more prominent roles within the offense. Both players are already rostered in most standard leagues, with Hield being a little easier to find on waiver wires.
  • GSW Small Forward #4
Moses Moody (left patellar tendinopathy) did not practice on Saturday and will not play in Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Moody did not play in Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets, and his knee issue has been present for a few games. His absence frees up rotation minutes for Gary Payton II and Lindy Waters III, neither of whom is worth streaming in most fantasy leagues.
