Donovan Mitchell had 34 points (14-of-23 FGs), one rebound, six assists, two steals and five 3-pointers in the Cavaliers’ 126-106 victory over the Heat on Wednesday.
With the Cavaliers shorthanded without Darius Garland (rest) on the first night of a back-to-back, it’s hardly a surprise that Mitchell took it upon himself to torch the Heat with 34 points and five threes Wednesday. The 28-year-old shooting guard has been on a tear lately. He now has at least 30 points in six of his last nine games. Mitchell has provided third-round fantasy value on the season. Cleveland has two more games this week with the Hawks on Thursday and the Mavericks on Sunday.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell had 21 points (6-of-12 FGs), two rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers against the Pistons on Monday.
Mitchell had scored at least 33 points in five of his last seven games entering play Monday, but only scored 21 points against the Pistons. The 28-year-old shooting guard had a decent game shooting as he was 6-of-12 from the field, though that’s not a lot of shots for him. He made 2-of-6 attempts from behind the 3-point line. Mitchell hasn’t quite had the season fantasy managers had hoped due to the emergence of of teammates Evan Mobley and Darius Garland, which continued to play out Monday.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell played 37 minutes in Saturday’s loss to Houston, accounting for 33 points (11-of-27 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block, and four 3-pointers.
Mitchell scored 33 points or more in four of his last five games, providing top-20 per-game value in 8-cat formats during this run. While his season-long value hasn’t been what many fantasy managers hoped, one can do far worse than the 3rd-round value that Mitchell has provided. And Week 14 will give Mitchell managers ample opportunities to receive high-level value, as Cleveland will play four games.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell produced a stat line of 37 points (12-of-23 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and seven 3-pointers in 33 minutes in Friday’s 132-129 loss to the 76ers.
Having scored 33 points or more in four of his last six outings, Mitchell’s 37 on Friday matched his season-high (November 15 vs. Chicago). Over the past two weeks, the Cavaliers guard has provided 4th-round value in 8-cat formats. That aligns with his value for the season, which hasn’t matched Mitchell’s Yahoo ADP. However, that has more to do with the emergence of the currently injured Evan Mobley and other Cavaliers than anything Mitchell has failed to do.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell amassed 19 points (7-of-21 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one blocked shot, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.
Mitchell’s miss in the final seconds of Wednesday’s capped a disappointing night for the Cavaliers guard, who has scored 19 points or less in five of his last eight games. Over the past three weeks, Spida has provided top-75 value in 9-cat formats. That wouldn’t qualify as “bad,” but it is a step down concerning his season-long value. Mitchell will look to rebound on Friday when the Cavaliers face Philadelphia.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell shot 11-of-25 from the field and 7-of-7 from the foul line in Monday’s 118-92 win over Phoenix, scoring 33 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 30 minutes.
Two days removed from scoring 36 points in a win over Minnesota, Mitchell scored another 33 in Monday’s rout of the Suns. He’s surpassed the 30-point mark in three of his last four outings, except Thursday’s loss to Oklahoma City. Mitchell hasn’t threatened 1st-round fantasy value as many managers hoped, but he’s been close to a top-25 player in 9-cat formats. Cleveland plays three more games during Week 13, which is good news for fantasy managers.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell shot 12-of-27 from the field and 8-of-9 from the foul line in Saturday’s 124-117 win over the Timberwolves, scoring 36 points with eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
After having his worst game of the season in Thursday’s loss to the Thunder, Mitchell got back on track Saturday night. The 36 points were the most in a game for the Cavaliers guard since November 15, when he torched the Bulls in a 37-point night. Mitchell hasn’t been the top 20 fantasy player that many fantasy managers hoped he would be before the season began, but he hasn’t been far off. Cleveland plays four games during Week 13, starting with the Suns on Monday.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell struggled on Thursday and finished with just eight points (3-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer against Oklahoma City.
Once again, the Thunder gave Mitchell a lot of trouble. This was his lowest-scoring game of the season, and between their two matchups, he scored a total of 19 points on 6-of-31 shooting. Mitchell has had a strong season overall, though he hasn’t been able to replicate his production from last season. He has provided third-round value, which is slightly disappointing for a player drafted in the first half of the second round. The good news is that the only way they play the Thunder again this season is if they face off in the NBA Finals.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 35 points (12-of-23 FGs), nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in a 127-117 win over Indiana on Tuesday.
Mitchell got off to a strong start to this game and scored 12 of the team’s first 18 points before entering halftime with 27 points. He didn’t do as much scoring after the break, but it was still nice to see him score more in the first half than he has in any of his previous six appearances. It was a strong start to the week and road trip for Mitchell, and he’ll look to keep it going in OKC on Thursday. He only had 11 points in their first matchup last week, but they’ll need a much better performance from him to win on the road.
  • CLE Shooting Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell logged 31 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Pacers, accounting for 19 points (7-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, two steals, and three 3-pointers.
While Mitchell has shot the ball relatively well, the scoring output has decreased recently. He’s scored 19 points or fewer in four consecutive games, which is a bit surprising for a player of Mitchell’s caliber. The scoring decrease is why he’s only been an 11th-round player in 9-cat formats over the past two weeks. Mitchell will look to turn things around on Tuesday when the Cavaliers visit the Pacers.
