Georges Niang (rest) and Caris LeVert (knee) have ben ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Magic.
Niang and LeVert have bolstered their numbers since joining Atlanta and both had solid performances against 76ers. Vit Krejci and Garrison Matthews can absorb some of LeVert’s minutes while Dominick Barlow has a chance to snag some backup power forward minutes.
  • ATL Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Magic.
With the Hawks locked into the eighth seed in the East regardless of Sunday’s results, the team’s three most important players will sit. Okongwu joins Trae Young and Dyson Daniels on the sidelines. Okongwu’s absence means more playing time for Dominick Barlow, who logged two minutes in Friday’s win over the 76ers. He will likely start against the Magic.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (finger) had an MRI on Monday and will be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks.
Okongwu has missed four straight games due to personal reasons, but he will presumably miss the rest of the season with a ligament injury in the fourth metacarpal of his left hand. Capela’s minutes as backup center will likely be absorbed primarily by Dominick Barlow, though Barlow is not a recommended streaming option for fantasy hoops managers.
  • ATL Shooting Guard #3
Caris LeVert (knee) and Clint Capela (personal) are out for Tuesday’s game against the Hornets.
LeVert will miss a third-straight game due to a sore right knee, while Capela will miss a fourth consecutive for personal reasons. The former’s absence will be more impactful on fantasy basketball, with Vit Krejci picking up additional minutes off the bench. Capela’s absence has resulted in more playing time for Dominick Barlow, but he is not a player who should be streamed.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (personal) is out for Sunday’s game against the Nets.
Sunday’s game will be the third straight Capela has missed for personal reasons. While his absence has freed up rotation minutes for Dominick Barlow, this has not impacted fantasy basketball. Leave Barlow on the waiver wire.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (personal) is out for Friday’s game against the Clippers.
Initially questionable for Friday’s game, Capela will miss a second straight contest for personal reasons. Dominick Barlow moved into the backup center role on Wednesday and should do so again on Friday. However, he’s unlikely to get the minutes needed to be fantasy-relevant.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (personal) is questionable to play against the Clippers on Friday.
Capela missed Wednesday’s game against Charlotte, and Dominick Barlow filled out the backup center minutes in that game. Barlow would likely fill the role again if Capela remains out, though he only played 18 minutes in that role. With Onyeka Okongwu healthy, Barlow won’t be worth streaming regardless of Capela’s status.
  • ATL Center #15
Clint Capela (personal) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Hornets.
Capela’s playing time is on the downstroke, as Onyeka Okongwu has taken over as the Hawks’ starting center. Dominick Barlow could absorb some of the big man’s minutes but isn’t expected to make a significant impact on fantasy basketball.
  • ATL Center #18
Trae Young, Dyson Daniels, Zaccharie Risacher, Mouhamed Gueye and Onyeka Okongwu will start against the Bucks on Tuesday.
After starting seven straight games for Atlanta, Gueye didn’t see the floor at all on Monday. However, he’ll return to the starting lineup and replace Dominick Barlow, who logged 13 minutes as a starter against Memphis. Regardless of who has started, neither has played a large role, with Caris LeVert, Georges Niang and Terance Mann taking on more minutes off the bench.
  • ATL Small Forward #0
Dominick Barlow tallied six points (2-of-3 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) and two rebounds in 13 minutes in Monday’s win over the Grizzlies.
Replacing Mouhamed Gueye (DNP-CD) in the Hawks’ starting lineup, Barlow’s limited workload on Monday may not have been his fault. With Memphis star Jaren Jackson Jr. exiting after two minutes with a sprained ankle, there was no need for the Hawks to employ a lineup with two bigs. As a result, Terance Mann replaced Barlow in the starting lineup to begin the third quarter and finished with seven points, two rebounds, three assists, one block and one three-pointer in 29 minutes. Even if Quin Snyder continues to start Barlow, there’s no need to consider rostering him in most leagues.
