Portland has waived Devonte’ Graham despite signing him to a one-year deal in July.
This move trimmed the roster down to 18, so expect more moves to happen over the next few days. Graham agreed to a deal with the team back in July after the Hornets waived him earlier that month. This move won’t impact the team’s rotation.
  • POR Shooting Guard #4
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Trail Blazers are signing Devonte’ Graham to a one-year deal.
Graham has been an unrestricted free agent since early July when the Hornets waived him after Charlotte acquired him from San Antonio. The 2018 second-round pick appeared in 46 games over two seasons with the Spurs and is likely to take on a similar role with the Blazers. Fantasy managers don’t need to consider him a viable option in drafts.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #4
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the San Antonio is sending a future second-round pick and Graham to Charlotte. The Hornets plan on waiving the point guard shorty after.
Graham was relevant for small stints during his run with the Spurs and appeared in 43 games during his two campaigns with the team. The point guard is unlikely to see a large surge in fantasy value as a free agent.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #4
Devonte’ Graham played 25 minutes in Friday’s win over New Orleans, accumulating 20 points (6-of-15 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, five assists, three steals, and four 3-pointers.
Keldon Johnson’s recent absence has led to Graham entering the rotation, and after scoring eight points in losses to the Warriors and Nuggets, he went off on Friday. Not only were the 20 points a season-high for the veteran guard, but this was also Graham’s first game in double figures. Deep-league managers should not allow this performance to convince them that he’s a viable option for Sunday’s game against the 76ers, as there are 13 games on the schedule. Regardless of league format, there will be more reliable players on the waiver wire.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #4
Devonte’ Graham (illness) is available for Sunday’s game against the Celtics.
Graham is back after missing Thursday’s game against the Trail Blazers, and there could be rotation minutes available. Keldon Johnson has been ruled out with back spasms, robbing the Spurs of their best bench scorer. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect much from Graham if he gets rotation minutes.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #4
Devonte’ Graham (illness) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Celtics.
Graham is on track to be available on Sunday, but his status is unlikely to impact fantasy basketball. At best, he’s on the back end of the Spurs’ rotation most nights.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #4
Devonte’ Graham (illness) will not play in Thursday’s game against Portland.
At best, when healthy, Graham has been on the back end of the Spurs’ rotation. His absence will not significantly impact fantasy basketball.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #24
Devin Vassell is questionable for Thursday’s matchup with the Bulls due to an illness.
Julian Champagnie started each of Vassell’s last three missed games, but he averaged just 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in those contests. Champagnie, Tre Jones and Devonte’ Graham could see extra run if Vassell is ultimately ruled out.
  • SAS Power Forward #23
Zach Collins (sore left knee) and Tre Jones (illness) will both play against the Pelicans on Sunday.
Jones is back in the lineup after a one game absence. Both Collins and Jones will play reserve roles, though their fantasy upside will continue to be limited by coming off the bench. Devonte’ Graham played 10 minutes in their last game with Jones out, but he will be dropped from the rotation.
  • SAS Point Guard #33
Tre Jones (right hamstring tightness) is doubtful for Friday’s game against the Kings.
Jones was held out of Tuesday’s loss to the Thunder, with his absence leading to more minutes for Malaki Branham with Devonte’ Graham entering the rotation. With Branham on track to start due to Devin Vassell’s absence, Graham may have the most to gain if Jones cannot play.
