Davis Bertans has received a multi-year offer to play in Dubai and will no longer work out for the Warriors, per Marc Stein.
A previous report from Stein indicated that Berans would work out fo rthe Warriors this past week, but he is expected to head overseas instead. There is a clause that will allow him to return to the NBA in the future, but he’s past his days of impacting fantasy basketball.

Marc Stein reports that Davis Bertans will work out for the Warriors this week.
Bertans has been a free agent since July 6, when the Hornets waived him. In 28 games with Charlotte, the veteran forward averaged 8.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.4 3-pointers, shooting 37.5% from beyond the arc. He’ll look to earn a training camp invite from the Warriors, and this is not a situation that will significantly impact fantasy basketball.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hornets are waiving Bertans.
Bertans averaged 8.8 points and shot 37.5% from deep through 28 games with the Hornets. The stretch big man will enter free agency after failing to break into a rotation following his time with the Washington Wizards. He isn’t likely to command much fantasy value.
  • CHA Center #4
Grant Williams (right ankle sprain), Nick Richards (right plantar fascia discomfort) and Davis Bertans (left Achilles soreness) have been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup with Cleveland.
Richards and Williams sat out their last game, and Bertans will join them on the sidelines for this one. With Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges also out, there will be plenty of minutes at forward to go around. Aleksej Pokusevski and JT Thor should fill a lot of those, with Marques Bolden once again seeing most of the minutes at center.
  • CHA Small Forward #2
Grant Williams (right ankle sprain), Nick Richards (right plantar fascia discomfort), and Davis Bertans (left Achilles soreness) are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
While Bertans played 22 minutes off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Celtics, Richards and Williams did not play. Tre Mann, Nick Smith Jr., and Marques Bolden all played at least 29 minutes in Boston, and they are the safest options on the Hornets roster to target in active fantasy leagues.
  • CHA Point Guard #22
Vasilije Micic (right shoulder strain) and Grant Williams (right ankle sprain) are probable to play against the Magic on Friday.
Micic is expected to be back after missing their last game, and Williams should be available as well. Micic’s return, along with Miles Bridges being back, will push JT Thor and Davis Bertans to the bench. Williams has been starting, but Nick Richards is questionable, so if he is back, Williams will return to playing a reserve role.
  • CHA Power Forward #9
Davis Bertans amassed seven points (2-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), one rebound, four assists, three steals, and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.
With Miles Bridges, Nick Richards, and Vasilije Micic all sidelined, Bertans was one of the additions to the Hornets starting lineup. Unfortunately, the veteran forward struggled to provide value in the one category (3-pointers) he’s capable of excelling in, as he shot 1-of-6 from beyond the arc. The few fantasy managers who streamed Bertans can take some solace in the assists and steals, but this was an underwhelming night overall.
  • CHA Power Forward #9
The Hornets will start Tre Mann, Brandon Miller, Davis Bertans, JT Thor and Grant Williams against Portland on Wednesday.
With Miles Bridges and Vasilije Micic joining Nick Richards on the sidelines, Charlotte will roll out Bertans and Thor in the starting unit. Mann will shift over to point guard and take on the playmaking responsibilities that Micic has been handling.
  • CHA Small Forward #0
Miles Bridges (right wrist contusion) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against Portland.
Bridges was downgraded to doubtful earlier in the day, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that he has now officially been ruled out for this game. Aleksej Pokusevski and Davis Bertans are two candidates to fill out Bridges’ starting spot, though both should see extended minutes.
  • CHA Power Forward #17
Aleksej Pokusevski (illness) has been upgraded to available for Monday’s game against the Celtics.
Initially considered doubtful for Monday’s game, Pokusevski has been cleared to play. With Nick Richards (foot) ruled out, more minutes will be available in the frontcourt, even if Poku is not considered a center. He isn’t worth streaming in this spot; Davis Bertans is more worthy of that gamble.
