RJ Barrett (illness) and Gradey Dick (right hamstring tightness) are questionable for Wednesday’s matchup with the Nets.
Both players sat out Tuesday’s loss to Boston, but they have a chance to return for the second half of Toronto’s back-to-back set. Davion Mitchell and Ja’Kobe Walter replaced them in the starting five against the Celtics, and they would presumably get starting nods again if Barrett and Dick are on the sidelines.
  • TOR Point Guard #45
Davion Mitchell amassed nine points (3-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics.
Mitchell returned to action after a one-game absence, starting Tuesday’s game due to RJ Barrett’s continued absence. “Off-Night” shot the ball well, but five turnovers countered his three assists. Rookie Jamal Shead played 25 minutes off the bench and wasn’t much better, shooting 2-of-10 from the field and finishing with five points, one rebound, three assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer. Mitchell still has streaming value, but that will change whenever Immanuel Quickley (elbow) returns.
  • TOR Point Guard #45
Davion Mitchell (illness) is available for Tuesday’s game against the Celtics.
Mitchell missed Sunday’s game against the Hawks with an illness. He’s set to return to the lineup Tuesday, leaving his replacement Jamal Shead with the backup point guard assignment. Mitchell has fantasy value when starting while Shead hasn’t been fantasy relevant in either role.
  • TOR Point Guard #45
Davion Mitchell (illness) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against Boston.
Mitchell did not play in Sunday’s loss to the Hawks, resulting in Jamal Shead taking over the backup point guard duties. Mitchell has only been worth rostering when allowed to start, while Shead has not provided enough value to fantasy managers, regardless of role.
  • TOR Point Guard #45
Davion Mitchell (illness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
Mitchell is officially out for Sunday’s game, but his absence will coincide with Jamal Shead’s return. Shead should play rotation minutes, but the rookie point guard is not worth streaming in most fantasy leagues.
  • TOR Point Guard #45
Davion Mitchell (illness) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
Mitchell dealt with a shoulder injury last week, which caused him to miss a game and allowed Jamal Shead to play 26 minutes against the Nets. Shead is also questionable for Sunday against the Hawks, though neither is worth streaming regardless of who is active or not.
  • TOR Point Guard #23
Jamal Shead (right knee contusion) is out for Thursday’s game against the Grizzlies.
A late scratch for Monday’s loss to the Knicks, Shead will miss a second consecutive game for the Raptors. With Ja’Kobe Walter out, Jamison Battle and Davion Mitchell should play more minutes off the bench.
  • TOR Point Guard #45
Davion Mitchell (right shoulder strain) is available for Sunday’s game against the Rockets.
Mitchell is back after sitting out Thursday’s game against the Nets. His return likely means fewer rotation minutes for rookie Jamal Shead, who played 26 against Brooklyn. That will not significantly impact fantasy basketball, as Shead is not productive enough to merit being rostered in most leagues.
  • TOR Point Guard #45
Davion Mitchell (right shoulder strain) is questionable to play against the Rockets on Sunday.
Mitchell missed their last game, which allowed rookie Jamal Shead to log 26 minutes off the bench. Shead should still play a large role if Mitchell is out again, but he won’t be productive enough to be worth streaming in.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #5
Immanuel Quickley (left UCL tear) participated in the non-contact parts of practice on Saturday and is getting closer to returning.
IQ has played a total of three games this season, and while this doesn’t mean that a return is imminent, he is definitely making progress. Hopefully he won’t be sidelined much longer, but he’ll have to go through some contact practices before that happens.
