David Duke Jr. has agreed to a two-way contract with the Spurs, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Duke Jr. signed a two-way deal with the Spurs in December, and now he has agreed to another one for next season. He only suited up for San Antonio four times last season, and he will likely spend most of the year in the G-League this upcoming season.

David Duke Jr. provided a boost off the bench with 15 points (6-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers against the Pistons on Sunday.
Duke Jr. signed a two-way with the Spurs in December but has spent most of the season in the G-League. He only suited up for their final four games of the season, with his last appearance in the NBA coming down the stretch for the Nets last season. It was good for him to get the chance to suit up, but he will likely spend most of next season in the G-League once again.

David Duke Jr. has signed a two-way contract with the Spurs, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Duke has been playing for the Delaware Blue Coats this season, which is the G-League affiliate for the 76ers. Before that, he played for Brooklyn during Summer League. He will likely continue to play in the G-League and won’t see much time with San Antonio. They waived Sir’Jabari Rice to open up the spot for Duke Jr.

David Duke led the Nets with 24 points (8-for-15 FGs), eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, one 3-pointer and six turnovers in a 92-71 win over the Bucks on Tuesday.
Duke spent the majority of the last two seasons in the G-League, though he did get to play in a handful of games for Brooklyn this past season. However, he has had an excellent summer thus far, and his performance on Tuesday was his best yet. Despite playing well for the Long Island Nets over the last two seasons and the Brooklyn Nets this summer, it’s unlikely that Duke sees enough of a role to impact fantasy basketball.

Cam Thomas notched his fourth 40-point game of the season in Sunday’s 134-105 loss to the 76ers, scoring 46 points (16-of-29 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs) with two rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block, and six 3-pointers in 43 minutes.
Given how shorthanded the Nets were in the final game of the regular season, the masses knew that Thomas was going to be in “feels like leather” mode. To be fair, these weren’t reckless hoists, either. Thomas shot better than 50% from the field and 75% from the foul line in recording his fourth 40-point game of the season. This won’t mean much for the playoffs, as Thomas hasn’t been in the rotation when the Nets have been whole (or close to it). However, if Brooklyn finds itself struggling to create offense during its series with Philadelphia, maybe Jacque Vaughn will give Thomas a look. RaiQuan Gray (16/9/7/0/1 with two 3-pointers) and David Duke Jr. (15/8/4/3) recorded productive fantasy stat lines in what will be their final game of the season, as two-way contract players aren’t eligible for the postseason.

The Nets have converted David Duke Jr. to a standard contract, according to Marc Stein.
Duke has played on a two-way contract this season, and he has spent the majority of the year playing in the G-League. The Nets will keep him around, and he could play big minutes in their final game if they lock up the 6th seed on Friday. However, that will likely be his only opportunity to impact fantasy basketball.

David Duke Jr. (non-COVID illness) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.
Duke isn’t a consistent member of the Nets’ rotation, so his availability will not impact fantasy basketball.

  • Small Forward #18
Yuta Watanabe (right hamstring strain) will be out Monday against the Magic.
He’ll miss his fourth straight game and join David Duke (non-COVID illness) on the sidelines. Seth Curry is off the injury report and should continue to soak up minutes while Watanabe is out.

David Duke Jr. has signed a two-way contract with the Nets.
This signing has been expected for weeks. The Nets also announced Friday morning that they will bring back Chris Chiozza on a training camp deal. The Nets now have 12 standard guaranteed deals, three partial or non-guaranteed contracts, two two-way contract and two Exhibit 10s. Duke Jr. made 22 appearances for the Nets last season, averaging 4.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.8 dimes.

In a recent report from SB Nation, Chris Milholen reports that David Duke will likely sign a new two-way deal with the Nets.
Duke played a limited role for Brooklyn last season but impressed in spurts. He starred in this year’s Summer League play and earned a new deal. He’s not expected to have a fantasy relevant role, but if anyone ahead of him on the depth chart is forced to miss time, that outlook could change.
