Days appeared in four games with the Rockets last season, accounting for 3.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 6.3 minutes. He’ll have the opportunity to show what he can do with the Rockets’ Summer League team in Las Vegas.

They needed to do this to open up a two-way slot for Darius Days. Favors will likely join a contending team in a limited role, but he’s safe to ignore in fantasy hoops.

Days was recently waived by the Heat in order to make room for Mychal Mulder but it looks like he’ll stick with the Rockets, at least for now. The undrafted LSU product shouldn’t have any fantasy value this season, even if the Rockets tank it up for Victor Wembanyama.

Days was on an Exhibition 10 contract but will be able to play for the Heat’s G-League team.

Days, an undrafted free agent out of LSU, spent Summer League with the Spurs. What’s also noteworthy about his being signed by the Heat is that the versatile forward did not work out for Miami during the pre-draft process. While the path to earning the minutes that went to P.J. Tucker last season is anything but straightforward, Days’ versatility as a forward is what has earned him this opportunity.
