DaQuan Jeffries (right adductor tightness) is out for Friday’s game against Detroit.
Jeffries is out after playing 22 minutes in Charlotte’s loss to the Bulls on December 30. With Brandon Miller also out, Cody Martin and Tidjane Salaun should play more minutes against the Pistons. Martin is worth consideration in deep leagues but is not a must-add player since he’s likely coming off the bench.

DaQuan Jeffries (right adductor tightness) is questionable to play against Detroit on Friday.
Jeffries has been solid when given the chance for the Hornets this season, but his role has been inconsistent. LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller and Cody Martin also have a chance to be back in the lineup for this game, which may make Jeffries’ status irrelevant. His absence may open up a few extra minutes for other reserves.
  • CHA Small Forward #11
Cody Martin amassed 11 points (5-of-10 FGs), five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 20 minutes in Friday’s loss to Philadelphia.
Due to Brandon Miller spraining his ankle during Monday’s loss to Philadelphia, Martin made his sixth start of the season in Friday’s rematch. He was solid against the 76ers, finishing one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line in 20 minutes on the floor. The negative for fantasy managers was the workload, with DaQuan Jeffries (12/5/1/1/1 with two 3-pointers in 30 minutes) and Tidjane Salaun (8/8/5/2 with two 3-pointers in 24 minutes) playing more than Martin. If Miller is back for Monday’s game against the Rockets, there’s no need to consider any of these three in most fantasy leagues.

DaQuan Jeffries provided a boost off the bench with 17 points (7-of-11 FGS), six rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers in a 116-102 loss to the Cavaliers on Saturday.
Jeffries was solid in his debut for the Hornets in their last game, but he made a huge impact in this one. He was a throw-in to clear roster space for the Knicks to complete the trade for Karl-Anthony Towns, which resulted in Jeffries being sent to Charlotte. He fractured his right hand just before training camp, which delayed his debut for his new team until this week. Now, with LaMelo Ball and Tre Mann sidelined, he has seen an extended opportunity and taken advantage. Still, he is a risky option to rely on in fantasy hoops.

DaQuan Jeffries (right hand fracture) is available for Tuesday’s game against the 76ers.
Jeffries is available to make his Hornets debut after suffering a broken hand during the offseason. Even with LaMelo Ball and Tre Mann sidelined, he’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball.

DaQuan Jeffries (right hand fracture) is questionable to play against the 76ers on Tuesday.
Jeffries was rerouted to Charlotte in order to make the Karl-Anthony Towns trade work this summer, but he fractured his hand right before the season started. Typically, he won’t make an impact in fantasy basketball, but with LaMelo Ball and Tre Mann facing extended absences, there is a chance that he takes on some minutes when he is cleared to play. However, until he proves otherwise, he isn’t worth streaming.

DaQuan Jeffries (right hand fracture) will not play against the Rockets on Wednesday.
Jeffries was rerouted to Charlotte has part of the deal that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to New York. It’s unclear how long this fracture will keep him sidelined, but it won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • NYK Center #46
The Knicks are sending Charlie Brown Jr., DaQuan Jeffries and Duane Washington Jr. to the Hornets in exchange for James Nnaji to complete the deal centered around Karl-Anthony Towns, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
The Knicks and Hornets swapped some reserves in order to complete the deal that sent KAT to New York and Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo back to Minnesota. These guys help complete the deal, but there is no fantasy impact whatsoever here.
  • CHA Point Guard #21
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Knicks are sending DaQuan Jeffries and draft compensation to Charlotte as part of a three-team trade with the Hornets and Minnesota.
Jeffries is part of a three-team trade that includes Karl-Anthony Towns (New York), Julius Randle, and Donte DiVincenzo (Minnesota). Jeffries only appeared in 17 games for the Knicks last season and was essentially included in this deal to clear space for Towns’ salary. He is not going to impact fantasy basketball in Charlotte.
  • NYK Point Guard #8
The Knicks announced on Thursday that they have signed DaQuan Jeffries to a 10-day contract.
NBA teams had until Thursday to reach the minimum of 14 players on standard contracts; hence, the Knicks signed Jeffries and Jacob Toppin to 10-day contracts. Jeffries appeared in 10 games with the Knicks before being waived on December 30. His return to the team will not impact fantasy basketball.
