According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Pistons have waived Danuel House.
Hours after acquiring House and a second-round pick from the 76ers, the Pistons have waived him. This move should ensure ample playing time for rookie Ausar Thompson and recent addition Quentin Grimes. Thompson offers the higher fantasy upside in the short term, but Grimes will also have value due to the 3-point production.
  • DET Small Forward #25
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons have acquired Danuel House Jr. and a 2024 second-round pick (via New York) from the 76ers.
House is on an expiring deal, so acquiring him will remove a little over $4.3 million from the Pistons’ books come July. As for fantasy impact, it will be minimal at best. House’s minutes in Philadelphia tended to become available on nights when the 76ers were shorthanded, and that’s likely to be the case in Detroit.
  • PHI Small Forward #25
Danuel House Jr. (right foot soreness) and Marcus Morris Sr. (left foot plantar fasciitis) have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Warriors.
Add two more forwards to the 76ers’ list of injured players, with House and Morris joining Nicolas Batum on the sideline. KJ Martin, Furkan Korkmaz, and Jaden Springer can absorb the available minutes, but none are worth streaming in most fantasy leagues.
  • PHI Power Forward #5
Marcus Morris (left foot plantar fasciitis) and Danuel House (right foot soreness) are questionable for Wednesday’s matchup with the Warriors.
Nic Batum, Robert Covington, Joel Embiid and De’Anthony Melton are all out, while Morris and House join Tyrese Maxey on the injury report as questionable. KJ Martin and Mo Bamba are candidates to take on expanded minutes if Morris or House sit this one out.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #8
De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine stress response) and Nicolas Batum (left hamstring strain) have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Warriors.
Melton and Batum will remain sidelined, with their absences keeping Kelly Oubre Jr. and Danuel House Jr. in the starting lineup. Oubre offers a higher fantasy upside in this role and is worth rostering, especially with the 76ers needing scoring to account for Joel Embiid’s absence. As for House, managers can afford to leave him on the waiver wire.
  • PHI Small Forward #12
Tobias Harris (illness) is questionable to play against Dallas on Monday.
Harris missed practice on Sunday after sitting out on Saturday, but there is a chance that he returns to the lineup on Monday. If that happens, Danuel House Jr. will likely return to the bench, though he hasn’t provided much value as a starter this season.
  • PHI Shooting Guard #8
De’Anthony Melton (back lumbar spine stress response), Nicolas Batum (left hamstring strain) and Kenneth Lofton Jr. (personal reasons) have been ruled out for Monday’s game against Dallas.
Though Melton was “hopeful” about playing in this game, he has immediately been ruled out, along with Batum and Lofton Jr. That will allow both Kelly Oubre Jr. and Marcus Morris Sr. to remain in the starting unit. Lofton Jr.'s status won’t impact fantasy basketball, though Melton and Batum will have their next chance to return to the lineup against the Warriors on Wednesday.
  • PHI Small Forward #12
According to 97.3 ESPN’s Austin Krell, Tobias Harris (illness) did not participate in practice on Sunday.
Harris did not play in Saturday’s loss to the Nets, making it three out of Philadelphia’s last six games that he’s missed due to illness. His absence from practice isn’t a good sign of his availability for Monday’s game against the Mavericks. Danuel House Jr. filled the void in the starting lineup on Saturday and would do so again if Harris remains sidelined.
  • PHI Small Forward #12
Tobias Harris (illness) and Nicolas Batum (left hamstring tightness) have been downgraded to out for Saturday’s game against the Nets.
Harris will be back on the sidelines after playing in their last game, while this will be a third straight absence for Batum. Marcus Morris will fill out the open spot in the starting lineup, with Danuel House Jr. also remaining in the starting unit.
  • PHI Power Forward #5
Marcus Morris (left foot plantar fasciitis) and Nicolas Batum (left hamstring tightness) are questionable to play against Brooklyn on Saturday.
Both players have missed their last two games, and there is a chance that they make it a third consecutive absence on Saturday. Danuel House played 19 minutes as a starter on Thursday, and no bench player logged 20 minutes. If Morris and Batum remain out, there won’t be a true beneficiary that is worth streaming in standard leagues.
