DaJuan Summers (knee) returned to action on Monday, scoring four points on 2-of-4 shooting with three rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes.
He may see a few extra minutes while Eric Gordon (knee) is out, but we’re not expecting anything big out of Summers.
  • NYK Power Forward #35
DaJuan Summers (knee) is expected to play on Monday against the Nuggets.
The former second-round pick isn’t expected to make an impact on fantasy leagues.
  • NYK Power Forward #35
Pistons forward DaJuan Summers hyperextended his knee last week and was spotted on crutches Sunday.
Summers is doubtful to play vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday. The former second-round pick isn’t likely to make an impact in fantasy leagues this season.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #18
Marco Belinelli will start at shooting guard on Monday against the Kings, sending DaJuan Summers back to the bench.
We’re going to take Monty Williams’ rotations less seriously because he’s all over the board, but PG/SG Greivis Vasquez’s owners will want to watch Belinelli closely. Once Jarrett Jack (knee) returns, Vasquez’s easiest path to value is at the SG position. He could also hold value as a swing backup playing heavy minutes at SG, but starting there would be preferable. If he is going to start there, it could make sense for Belinelli to continue coming off the bench, which didn’t happen tonight.
  • NYK Power Forward #35
DaJuan Summers was inactive for Monday’s game against the Kings after having his right knee drained of fluid.
Those watching Greivis Vasquez like a hawk will be happy to learn that Marco Belinelli’s return to the starting lineup was a necessity with Vasquez starting at PG for injured Jarrett Jack (knee). Summers started at SG for the past week, but never gained any traction and has no fantasy value.
  • NYK Power Forward #35
DaJuan Summers was cut from the Italian team Montepaschi Siena because he “did not perform as expected.”
He isn’t under contract in the NBA so this wasn’t just a creative way to set him loose -- he averaged 4.0 ppg and joins a lengthy list of NBA players who have underperformed overseas.
  • NYK Power Forward #35
DaJuan Summers (knee) will not play on Friday, but the Hornets are hoping he’ll be able to return next week.
Summers hyperextended his knee in December and still isn’t right. He’ll likely get some minutes when he’s healthy because of injuries to Trevor Ariza and Eric Gordon, but this news shouldn’t impact your fantasy league.
  • NYK Power Forward #35
DaJuan Summers will start at small forward against the Wolves on Friday, sending Al-Farouq Aminu back to a bench role.
Drafted in the second round in 2009, Summers has yet to make an impact at the NBA level. He can do a little bit of everything but isn’t excellent at any one facet of his game, and had a quick trigger shooting the ball before he got to the NBA. It’s definitely wait-and-see time for him in fantasy leagues, while Aminu will likely be on the waiver wire wherever he has been grabbed by the end of the night.
  • NYK Power Forward #35
DaJuan Summers replaced Al-Farouq Aminu as Trevor Ariza’s fill in at small forward on Friday, scoring 11 points and grabbing one rebound before fouling out in 27 minutes.
Aminu played just eight minutes and scored two points, but both of these guys should be back on the bench once Ariza is over his groin injury. If you own Aminu, go ahead and drop him for a hot free agent.
  • FA Power Forward #72
Al-Farouq Aminu was benched on Friday and played just eight minutes, scoring two points in a loss to the Wolves.
Aminu was showing some promise as a starter for Trevor Ariza (groin), but can safely be dropped after tonight’s disaster. DaJuan Summers started in his place tonight and had 11 points before fouling out.
