Bobcats rookie Cory Higgins notched a career-high 22 points on 9-of-15 FGs and 4-of-5 FTs vs. the Hawks on Saturday, adding three assists and four turnovers in 24 minutes.
Cory is the son of Bobcats’ GM Rod Higgins. He may get some burn down the stretch, as the team has nothing to lose by turning loose their developing players, but we’re not anticipating fantasy value. This was only the fifth game he’s played in over the past six weeks.
  • CHA Point Guard #11
The Nuggets waived guard Cory Higgins on Friday.
Higgins was an undrafted free agent who played at Colorado, and he never had a realistic chance of making the roster.
  • DEN Power Forward
Michael Ruffin has been waived by the Nuggets.
The team also announced its decision to waive Cory Higgins, trimming the roster to 15 players in the process.
  • CHA Point Guard #11
The Bobcats have signed G Cory Higgins to round out their roster.
Higgins is the son of Rod Higgins, who is the president of basketball operations for the Bobcats, and is also in Michael Jordan’s inner circle from their playing days together with the Bulls. Higgins was trying to make the Nuggets, but was one of their final cuts, so he could end up sticking with the Bobcats all season.
  • CHA Point Guard #11
Undrafted rookie Cory Higgins played a season-high 16 minutes off the Bobcats’ bench on Saturday, finishing with two points and four rebounds.
Higgins got extra burn due to the lopsided score, but deep-league owners will want to put him on their radar. He’s worked himself into the rotation and Paul Silas is willing to turn to whoever plays with energy.
  • CHA Point Guard #11
Bobcats guard Cory Higgins came off the bench for 10 points and two steals in 20 minutes vs. the Nets.
Higgins figures to get more minutes if D.J. Augustin (toe) misses any games, but he shouldn’t be owned in average leagues. Derrick Brown is a more intriguing waiver add, if you’re fishing the muddy waters of Charlotte’s bench.

Cory Higgins will be in training camp with the Bobcats.
No surprise here. Rod Higgins’ son will compete to land a spot on the roster as a backup PG. He has no fantasy value.
  • NOP Power Forward #4
The Bobcats signed F Jeff Adrien and waived Cory Higgins on Sunday.
Adrien just missed making the team back in October. He comes from the D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers and has no fantasy value.
