  • WAS Shooting Guard #1
Johnny Davis played 25 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Bulls, amassing 15 points (5-of-8 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, two assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers.
Davis has reached double figures in two straight games, with Friday’s point total being a season-high. While the overall line wasn’t imposing, the 3-point shooting (4-of-5) stands out. Davis has struggled with his shot for most of his two NBA seasons, so any progress made by the former lottery pick should not be overlooked. Only Corey Kispert hit more 3-pointers than Davis on Friday, as he made six and tallied 23 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, six assists, and one blocked shot in 40 minutes. Washington finishes its season with a game at Boston on Sunday.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #24
Corey Kispert led Washington with 25 points (9-of-17 FGs), three rebounds, five assists and five triples in a 130-121 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday.
The Wizards surprisingly dominated Minnesota early in this game, and Kispert was at the center of that. He scored eight points in the first five minutes, and Washington took a 19-5 lead early and led 44-26 at the end of the first quarter. That lead didn’t last, but Kispert was still able to had at least 20 points and five 3-pointers for the second straight game. Washington only plays two more games this season, but Kispert should continue to pour in the triples to close out the season. However, a strong end to the year shouldn’t make him an enticing option next season, since he did the same thing to close last season.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #24
Corey Kispert played 38 minutes in Tuesday’s 117-113 win over Milwaukee, scoring a team-high 27 points (10-of-18 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs) with seven rebounds, one steal, one block, and four 3-pointers.
The Wizards pulled off one of their best wins of the season on Tuesday, with Kispert leading the way. A fixture in the starting lineup since Bilal Coulibaly was lost for the remainder of the season, Kispert led Washington in points and 3-pointers on Tuesday. Over the past two weeks, he has provided 10th-round per-game value in 8- and 9-cat formats. That isn’t elite production, but the injuries make Kispert a player who should be rostered for the rest of the season.
  • WAS Point Guard #5
Tyus Jones (lumbosacral sprain) is set to miss his eighth consecutive game for the Wizards’ Friday matchup against the Pistons.
Jones hasn’t suited up since March 14 and still needs time to recover from injury. His absence has fueled Jordan Poole’s return to the starting lineup. Poole and Corey Kispert should continue to dominate Washington’s backcourt minutes until Jones is healthy again. Kispert has scored at least 15 points in six straight contests and is rostered in 28% of Yahoo leagues. He could provide fantasy managers with valuable outside shooting in his current role.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #24
Corey Kispert tallied 19 points (6-of-18 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes in Monday’s win over the Bulls.
Kispert did not shoot well on Sunday, so fantasy managers took a hit in the field-goal percentage category. However, he made up for that with solid contributions in rebound, assist, steal, and 3-point categories. He’s ranked outside the top 200 in 9-cat value for the season, but the current circumstances in Washington make Kispert worth rostering in deep leagues. With Bilal Coulibaly (wrist) done for the season and none of the younger wings on the roster offering value, Kispert should be able to play starters’ minutes consistently.
  • WAS Small Forward #8
Deni Avdija (illness) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Bulls.
Avdija was downgraded to questionable less than 30 minutes before tipoff and has since been ruled out. While Justin Champagnie and Patrick Baldwin Jr. can absorb some of those minutes, Corey Kispert is the player fantasy managers should target.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (left shoulder soreness) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Bulls.
Kuzma has been dealing with a sore shoulder for a few games, and the Wizards have decided to hold him out on Monday. Justin Champagnie, who only played three minutes in Saturday’s win over the Raptors, could move back into the rotation. However, he is not someone who has to be added. Managers looking for capable contributors should seek out Corey Kispert first.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #24
Corey Kispert shot 6-of-11 from the field and 0-of-2 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 137-114 loss to the Rockets, scoring 16 points with one rebound, one assist, and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
Kispert was one of two Wizards to finish Tuesday’s loss with 16 points, with Justin Champagnie (16/8/2/2 with two 3-pointers in 31 minutes) being the other. Kispert didn’t offer much beyond the points and 3-pointers, but the minutes are there for him to be a player worth relying on in deep leagues. While Kispert is ranked outside the top 175 in 9-cat formats over the past two weeks, Champagnie has provided top 100 value. The only concern is the rotation, as Champagnie was replaced in the starting lineup by Johnny Davis. However, he’s worth streaming in deep leagues due to his recent play.
  • WAS Small Forward #8
Deni Avdija (right knee contusion) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Celtics.
Avdija will miss both games of Washington’s weekend back-to-back, which leaves Corey Kispert in the starting lineup. Kispert has been good recently, providing 5th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats over the past week. The season-long fantasy value hasn’t been the best, but he is worth streaming until Avdija is cleared to return.
  • WAS Small Forward #8
Deni Avdija (right knee contusion) is doubtful to play against the Celtics on Sunday.
Avdija was scratched about 10 minutes after the schedule start time for Saturday’s game, which is always a favorite for fantasy managers. He is expected to remain out on Sunday, so at least they are giving everyone time to adjust this time. Corey Kispert should remain in the starting unit in his place.
