Seth Lundy (left ankle sprain), Dominick Barlow (low back contusion) and Cody Zeller (now with team) have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.
None of these players will play enough when available to impact fantasy basketball, so their availability isn’t all that noteworthy.
  • ATL Center #40
Cody Zeller is headed to Atlanta via sign-and-trade as part of the deal headlined by Dejounte Murray.
The reported Murray trade is official, with Atlanta receiving four players and two future first-round picks (2025 via LAL, 2027 via MIL or NOR). Zeller, who was a free agent, is headed to the Hawks via sign-and-trade, joining Dyson Daniels, Larry Nance Jr., and EJ Liddell. Zeller did not offer much fantasy value in New Orleans, and that’s unlikely to change due to the Hawks’ surplus of big men. And that would remain the case if Clint Capela, whose name has come up in trade rumors, moves on.
  • NOP Power Forward #22
Larry Nance Jr. (illness) is not on the injury report ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Nets.
After sitting out Saturday’s win over Portland, Nance fully participated in practice on Monday. He has since been removed from the injury report, meaning he will take on his usual reserve duties on Tuesday. Cody Zeller will likely drop out of the rotation entirely with Nance back in action.
  • NOP Power Forward #22
Larry Nance Jr. is out for Saturday’s matchup with the Trail Blazers due to an illness.
Nance Jr. has averaged 25.3 minutes per game across his last four outings, so his available playing time should be divided among Jonas Valanciunas and Cody Zeller. Valanciunas should be the biggest beneficiary of Nance Jr.'s absence, and Zeller is nothing more than a desperation, deep-league streamer.
  • NOP Center #40
Cody Zeller (left knee contusion) is available for Thursday’s game against the Rockets.
Zeller is back after missing New Orleans’ final three games before the All-Star break. With Jonas Valanciunas and Larry Nance Jr. healthy, Zeller is unlikely to get the minutes needed to be fantasy-relevant.
  • NOP Center #40
Cody Zeller (left knee contusion) is questionable to play against Houston on Thursday.
Zeller has missed their last three games due to injury, but even when he has been healthy, he isn’t a large part of their rotation. His status won’t impact fantasy hoops.
  • NOP Power Forward #1
Zion Williamson (left foot bone contusion) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards, while Cody Zeller (left knee contusion) has been ruled out.
Williamson being cleared to play is of far greater importance than Zeller’s continued absence, as the veteran center hasn’t been in the rotation when healthy. Zion playing means Trey Murphy III will remain in the sixth-man role, which limits his fantasy ceiling.
  • NOP Power Forward #1
Zion Williamson (left foot bone contusion) and Cody Zeller (left knee contusion) are questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.
Williamson was also questionable ahead of Monday’s win over Memphis, a game in which he started and played 35 minutes. Should he not be cleared for Wednesday night, Trey Murphy III would move into the starting lineup, boosting his fantasy value. As for Zeller, he hasn’t been in the rotation when healthy, so his status will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • NOP Center #40
Cody Zeller (left knee soreness) has been downgraded to out for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Zeller will remain sidelined for another game, which does not impact fantasy basketball. Larry Nance Jr. remains the lone backup to Jonas Valanciunas and has value in deeper fantasy leagues.
  • NOP Power Forward #1
Zion Williamson (left foot bone contusion) and Cody Zeller (left knee soreness) are questionable for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Williamson and Zeller missed Saturday’s win over Portland, with Trey Murphy III replacing the former in the starting lineup. Murphy’s fantasy value is boosted when he moves into the starting lineup. Rostered in 48% of Yahoo leagues, Murphy is worth streaming if Williamson remains sidelined. As for Zeller, his availability does not impact fantasy basketball or the Pelicans’ rotation.
