Cherokee Parks bruised his collarbone Friday and probably won’t play tonight.
    Parks is day-to-day.
  • Clippers activated forward-center Cherokee Parks from the injured list.
Parks will help back up Sean Rooks until Michael Olowokandi returns.
  • Coach Alvin Gentry said Monday he was considering starting Cherokee Parks at center Wednesday.
Parks was recently activated from the IL, and had 14 points in 32 minutes Saturday. Sean Rooks, with 3.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in February, has not been the answer as the starting center in Michael Olowokandi’s absence. Parks can’t help but do better than that, but he won’t have a lick of fantasy value.
  • Cherokee Parks returned to action tonight and had six points and four rebounds in 16 minutes.
Parks had been sidelined with a strained left quad.
  • Cherokee Parks missed Tuesday’s game with a strained left quad.
    Parks is day-to-day.
  • Cherokee Parks still hasn’t played because of a strained left quadriceps.
Parks is not expected to have an important role with the Heat.
  • Heat signed forward-center Cherokee Parks, who had been with the Clippers, to a one-year contract.
There go Isaac Austin’s chances of making the Heat. Parks averaged 6.3 points and 4.4 rebounds in 30 games for the Clippers last season. He’ll probably help back up Brian Grant.
  • Warriors signed forward Cherokee Parks.
Parks appeared in two games with Miami this preseason, averaging 5.5 points and 4.0 rebounds. He’ll be used as a reserve forward and center, at least until Troy Murphy returns.
  • Heat waived forward-center Cherokee Parks and forward Sean Lampley.
Parks and Lampley were believed to be competing for one roster spot, but the Heat elected not to keep a 15th player.
  • Cherokee Parks did not play tonight due to a bruised collarbone.
    He is day-to-day.
