Bucks sign guard Charlie Bell to a contract.
The former Michigan State star is a combo guard who had a monster season overseas. He’d have an excellent chance to make the Bucks as a reserve.

If Steve Blake is traded to the Bucks for Jamaal Magloire, Charlie Bell could end up spending more time at shooting guard backing up Michael Redd.
The Bucks have already promised Mo Williams the starting point guard job, which could get tricky if they acquire Blake, who was the usual starter for the Blazers last season. And a three-headed point guard in Milwaukee isn’t going to help anyone from a fantasy point of view.

Charlie Bell has signed with the team Otto Caserta in Italy.
Bell is a veteran guard who plays solid defense, but his NBA career has run its course. He played in Italy early in his career with Treviso, Virtus Bologna and Mabo Livorno.

The Warriors have used the amnesty clause on Charlie Bell.
Bell’s contract had just a single season left and he likely sealed his fate after showing up drunk at his own DUI hearing last week. The bigger news here is that the Warriors now can not use the amnesty provision on Andris Biedrins, and it may be a sign that the team is not hopeful about landing DeAndre Jordan despite a massive four-year, $40 million offer sheet.

Warriors guard Charlie Bell was taken into custody Thursday after showing up to court legally drunk for a hearing on his - get this - drunken driving case.
Bell was held in a holding cell until he “sobered up” after blowing a .09 and is expected back in court on Friday. Bell was arrested in Flint Township on Oct. 21 for drunken driving, driving on a suspended license and failing to stop at a stop sign, and has already been suspended for the first regular season game. This is sure to result in a bigger suspension, if not end his career. He didn’t have fantasy value to begin with, and now we’re just hoping he gets his act together.

Charlie Bell was suspended for Game 7 because he was late to a team meeting.
Bell’s absence was not a distraction and had nothing to do with the Bucks’ season-ending loss. He’ll return next season as a bit player off the bench.

Charlie Bell, who spent last season in Spain, is expected to sign with the Bucks later this off-season.

Charlie Bell looked much like he did last season playing for the Bucks on Tuesday, racking up 13 points, five boards, seven assists and a three in a win over the Bulls.
He hit just 2-of-10 shots, but it’s nice to know that he’s settling back in with the team he tried to leave this summer. Consider him a serious sleeper candidate this season, although he’s probably not worth more than a late-round flier at this point.

Bucks general manager Larry Harris said the Bucks intend to re-sign Charlie Bell to a new contract.
Bell is a restricted free agent this summer. Milwaukee just dished out $52 million to sign Mo Williams, and is interested in keeping Bell around as well. Bell averaged a career-high 13.5 PPG in an expanded role last season.

Negotiations between the Bucks and Charlie Bell are still not going well and he could be on the verge of heading overseas in the next day or so.
“We’re in the middle of some serious conversations,’’ agent Mark Bartelstein said. “It (a decision) could be today or tomorrow. Charlie wants to get this done.’’ We’re guessing this is probably more of a negotiation ploy to set the Bucks into action than it is a real threat, but if the Bucks don’t respond in the next 48 hours, Bell could easily go play in Europe this season.
